I wouldn't be surprised if there are pallets full of these sitting in Walmart warehouses. I can't imagine they sold enough online only to sell through their stock.... unless Hasbro just produced 1/4 of the regular amount.

That would be a hilarious turnaround on speculators but further tanks the idea that any of their future exclusives will ever be collectible for people who are driven by the idea of scarcity. I wonder if they care about that? I?m curious if the lack of transparency is a ploy or just them not wanting to engage with the fan base after the Pulse experience a lot of people had this week. There?s no reason for this to be a secret. Maybe they haven?t made up their minds yet? Or the person responsible for comms is just overburdened?

With any given figure being game for a repaint, even HasLab exclusive figures, nothing will be scarce in the future. Poor HISS MMCC took a hit instantly when retro CC was announced. lol

Joe collectors don't seem to care as much about packaging as Star Wars collectors. If an identical figure is released in a new package with different paint, they'll get that over the more expensive exclusive, taking away future resale value of the exclusives.
