If you think the classified thread moves fast at certain times it pales to what threads (plural) did for 25th news. The meet and greets in each state were plentiful and the sightings threads never ending with news.

The sheer volume of figures turned out for the 25th line triples what classified produces per wave. That type of craze will never been duplicated again by any toy line. It would be incredible to see what the 25th line would do with todays social media being active in 2007-09.

Fair enough. I was a sophomore in college so I definitely wouldn't know any better.

I guess the point I was trying to make is Classified seems to be more successful at bringing in new fans, whereas the 25th line seems like it was made for the o-ring crowd and those dedicated to the 3-4inch scale. I have nothing but my own perspective to back any of that up.

I do remember seeing the revival in stores back then and being tempted with those beautiful explosion cardbacks, but the actual figures looked like shit to me then just like they do now.

It's hard to say for sure, but I think as an adult, I'm looking for a level of detail that is unachievable at 4 inches. I just know that O-Ring and ME figures don't do it for me anymore, and probably haven't since I was 13 or 14. The 25th line still felt like "toys" to me, whereas Classified always felt more like "collectibles". That could have a lot to do with where I was in life at both times.

Different strokes for different folks of course.

The SF figures do look amazing, but all I ever did in that game was get my ass kicked. Don't need a reminder of that, taunting me from a shelf. LOL!

Looks cool. That Mad Marauders BBQ wasn't a very good seller for me. He sat unsold at a price of $16 with free shipping, for like 6-7 months. That subgroup is a bit polarizing, I think.

I come at it from the opposite perspective of having worked at an arcade that hosted regional championships (right around the corner, sorta, from Capcom USA). Those were fun times, watching how crazy people'd get during the tournaments.
