That's pretty much how Mindbender and Serpentor went. They were lowest when lots of people had them in hand, then the price creeped back up. After the last batch of MB shipped you could get him for $60 and he's more popular than snake man CC.

I've been cherry picking classified, and appreciate what they're doing. I collect multiple scales and multiple lines, so I'm content to mostly grab what falls to clearance with classified (which is more than some might think, especially in Florida, home of the world's greatest Ross & Ollie's locations).

But yes, this new CC was definitely an immediate "whoah" and a one eyebrow raise a la The Rock. Happy to get an order in.

One scroll through my youtube feed would indicate that the fanbase for Classified is pretty big (and rabid) and perhaps made up of more new fans / collectors than the 25th line was. (not that my youtube feed would be any respectable way to measure a demographic, ha).

Yeah the fandom is more split up now. There's Facebook groups, Reddit, Twitter, Youtube, Discord Groups, etc.

I think you bring up an important point here, there there is a general 1/12 community that's an important part of Classified's success. Classified is rather unique because it;s one of the first and only times that Joe was introduced into the already existing standard for size, articulation, and detail. While o-ring and ME weren't the first to do 3 3/4, they were different from what was being offered. Before Classified, I was happy picking up a Legend every once in a while and doing Lightning Collection, but Classified became a big connective issue for me to the 1/12 market. I think I've picked up more Legends than Classified this year despite being a near completionist on Classified (sorry retro releases).

I think you'll be fine if you don't get one of the Hasbro restocks, with the limit of 5 there's obviously going to be lots of resellers.
