It will never be over. The SDCC exclusives from the 25th line still lingers and drives people nuts and the fan base for the 25th\ME stuff was way more rabid than classified.

It all depends on the licenses and how much the licensor differentiates the products. 7" scale and 6" scale aren't as distinctly different as say 3 3/4" to 6" or 6" to 12," etc. Some companies (like LFL), will even offer the same scale license to different regions.

There's the issue each time there's no uniformity, there's online only, buy in person, glitches to bypass, codes to get on the site, emails coming in when the item is long sold out. That's what sets everyone on edge because they go into this not knowing which hurdles they'll have to overcome.

I wish there was legit data on this because it would be interesting to compare the 2.

Was the fan base truly more rabid for the 25th line? or was the fan base just more centralized to Hisstank and being mostly former GIJoe fans / collectors.

One scroll through my youtube feed would indicate that the fanbase for Classified is pretty big (and rabid) and perhaps made up of more new fans / collectors than the 25th line was. (not that my youtube feed would be any respectable way to measure a demographic, ha).

One thing I have discovered is that there truly is a "community" of 1/12 collectors. As much as the word "community" makes me throw up a lil, there really is a large group that is specific to scale but not necessarily specific to license or property. For instance, just through my experience of getting back into Joes, I all of a sudden have all these other figures I've been picking up along the way from different lines and properties. Like, I'm all of a sudden a Legends collector, when 4 or 5 years ago I didn't have a single Marvel figure.

Just did a check on ebay and I am going wait this out a bit. I see a ton of the OAMCCs going for $80-$130 now, but I feel like once some of the dust settles he may cool off and settle closer to $50-$75. At least that's what I'm hoping! Hahaha

Yeah, now might be the absolute worse time to snag one off ebay. I'm sure resellers are well aware of all the fomo and hand wringing and are looking to capitalize with those prices.

I gotta imagine you will be able to grab him for less than $80 at some point.

I think you'll be fine if you don't get one of the Hasbro restocks, with the limit of 5 there's obviously going to be lots of resellers.

Okay guys don?t hate me. I came home with 3 OAMCC. I sold one locally for 60. I sold one on eBay for 76 and kept one for myself.
