Is it, though? Being a "problem" is entirely subjective, and once again, you're fronting your personal bias as the opinion of everyone - when, as usual, it is not. I don't see the design evolution as being any "dramatically" different than, say, the Vipers were to the original Cobra troopers/officers, or the color schemes being any different than Python Patrol was to the original blue. The Hydro Viper is a prime example of both color and design, when compared to the EEL, and he's a largely beloved release. You perceive it as a "problem with later Cobras" because of your own personal bias, when the evidence shows that it's been right there from early on.

I wonder if they might do a Hasbro Pulse Exclusive (or whatever) series of 2 packs.. ideally two named characters.

I guess they might consider Big Ben and "Army Builder" if he's a sort of stand in for SAS Force as he is.

I think i'd rather have a "newish" Mold with an Oldish mould than two oldish moulds.. they kinda did that with TF Roadblock and TF Tripwire.

There is several "Night Force" Moulds they have already and some Tiger Force ones too and some who got the sub-team treatment 1st.

I guess the other way to handle it is to put standard deco Big Ben on a Retro Card (which I am perfectly fine with) But I suspect if he was in a 2 pack he'd be more likely to keep the gasmask (which I would like him too).

I can see them at some stage "getting around to" doing Night Force Outback for example. I am curious what they will do about Night Force Duke though as I would actually like him to be pretty different to Retro Duke.

One thing I do feel is that some characters might suit a letter version body design when turned into a Sub-group member Stalker for example can perhaps be using the existing Classified with Night Force perfectly fine, but if they wanted to make a specific one I think I'd like to wait for a new body for that to be more effective.

I think I'd not mind a slight variation of Grunt as a "Trooper" or even a Tiger Force Trooper (Steel Corp Helmet/head Optional).

I think we can in the mean time quite reasonably consider the 60th Anniversary line to be some sort of troop builder though too.

Im personally down for whatever iteration or version or genre of joe/cobra action man savage eco def whatever they make im sure eventually they will make something that im not a huge fan of but ill still buy it i wasnt a big fan of tf/orpp when i was in my 20’s i only owned a few of those but now they look different through my adult eyes and the quality is usually there especially for a 6” figure when you half ass them it shows . I want to see some of the weird figures and their weird paints colors as well tone em down im interested to see what the frag viper ends of looking like I would hope for a removable helmet at the minimum I would hope for a removable helmet at the minimum and a few grenades for his cesta , his style outfit being skin tight like some have said spandex type material like a freaking body suit , gives me hope for an actual ver 1 iron grenadier his clothing was leather but you change an OVERLAY add a shoulder harness and some boots and you have a different character , im really wanting a ver1 IG i dont mind the IG we are getting or the twilight guard either as im down for probably a handful of every one they make ,even crazy colors they’ll tone em down a bit @ least IMO .. either way i want and hope for outlandish costumes and 90’s colors And maybe shipwreck disguised as cobra commander from spy troops or even venomous maximus . Cmon give us headman it that yellow/gold suit

From what I can remember, Muskrat was never anything other than a prediction. I believe WilliePete said, on several occasions, that he had no information regarding Muskrat's production.

I had a thought would anyone be interested in a larger bodied male or female cobra trooper like a 6’8”to 7’ hulking brutish big large oversized cobra troopers like sgt savage figs compared to arah incomparison . Just a couple of large troopers would be cool not “the mountain “ sized or maybe even that sized .like the giant guy he fought in the arena sized baddie .. but in cobra blues . I already thought about super7’s ultimates but they are just tall not lumbering

Some of those seem likely, like Red Dog and Big Lob. But others will depend on how long this line lasts. There are some really deep cuts in that list.

In terms of color scheme, Cobra had a few variations of Blue, black,and red early on. Cobra troopers were navy blue and black with red symbols, officers were navy blue and black with silver symbols, and Cobra Commander was light blue (and later navy blue) with a red symbol. Once Vipers hit the scene, things got a little more creative and wild. The troops became more specialized with unique gear and often "genetic enhancements" in their bios.

Vehicle colors were always a little strange:
* Black: FANG, HISS, Stinger, Night Raven, STUN
* White: SNAKE, CLAW, Flight Pod
* Blue: ASP, Ferret, Rattler, Water Moccasin (Blue-green), Night Landing, Hydro Sled
* Red: Moray, Firebat

87 and on introduced some purples and teals and things were sort of unique one-offs in appearance and color.

As a toy line, I think it's fine, but, outside of specific camoflage (e.g. white snow vehicles), I would love to see a redesign of Cobra with somr coloe consistency. For example, I'd love a Ferret and ASP in black to keep the land vehicles consistent.

However, some of the vehicles are so iconic that I think they would look strange in other colors. Would a Rattler-blue CLAW or FANG look good? Probably, but I am so used to seeing them in their original colors it would be jarring.

Long story short, Cobra was never all that consistent with colors and trying to change that now is harder than I thought.

I could see Lt. Clay Moore and Tombstone being made to add more faces of color to Cobra. I'll admit that the only reason I want Hardball is because I want a big cylinder revolver style grenade launcher, and I would hope a Classified version would look similar to the MM-1 from Terminator 2, but I really don't think that'll happen.
