Agreed, a MILKOR (with all the bells and whistles since he's Cobra) would bring him up to date. But I disagree on the vast change to the color scheme. Toning down the colors a bit is one thing, but as we get into the more unique characters, it's their distinct color schemes which help to identify them and set them apart from the other Cobras (also makes them pop on the shelf).

Tiger Paw has started hitting Target's eBay page for $35.99 plus 25% off. I got 3 of them, but made sure they shipped them, which they did last night.

Tiger Paw is still active in Target's system so a restock is still possible. Would be surprised if either made it back up on Pulse.

That's kinda the problem with later Cobra's though. Cobra starts to become less distinct because the color schemes and even design aesthetics change rather dramatically between figures.

They also had the Target truck Optimus Prime for $35 (plus 25% off) and sold like 130 of them within an hour. It retails for $60 and just came out in April.

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying there's not a market for them, it just became apparent to me, that eventually there's going to be waves that I'm not interested in, and that's pretty odd from my perspective right now considering I'm in for almost everything that comes out.

But yeah, please do make everything in the line that everyone wants, especially if it opens the doors for the ones I want and the ones we haven't even been introduced to yet.

Have the eBay app and set up the notifications to get alerts. That is the best way. Target Bullseye lists items 4 different times through the week and the notifications let you know immediately.

Got the Tiger Paw alert at 6:11 am Friday morning. Was sold out by 6:30 I believe.

To be sure, for the modern, adult senses the colors could've incorporated more blues, reds and silvers a la previous Cobra rank and file, but the colors of the 89 Cobras and Iron Grenadiers were a nice variation to kids at the time, and avoided the ghastly neon's of the later years.

I think 1989 holds up very well compared with say 1991...while the same distance apart as 84 and 86's line ups, they are light years away from one another in aesthetics.

Destro's Iron Grenadiers are amazing, the black/red/gold scheme is gorgeous. It's his higher commanding officials with their neon greens and light purples that turn me away, and you're right, it only gets worse from 90/91 on in that respect, but there are still some serviceable figs in the 89-90 space.
