The objective element of A-List can be figured out pretty easily by looking at the characters they keep reusing in various media and appear early in almost every nostalgia line.

On the Joe side it is Duke, Snake Eyes, Scarlett, Roadblock, and Gung Ho.
On the Cobra side it is Cobra Commander, Destro, Baroness, Storm Shadow, and Zartan.

The other characters sometime bubble up and you can probably make some good arguments about B vs. C vs. D tier, but I think the A-listers are fairly consistent.

Was the same for me. I was still buying GI Joe figures and comic books in 1990. I was 16 so I had to hide it. I?d gotten mocked about when I was much younger so I just kept it to myself. Then in college, I got into X-Men comics and after college, Star Wars became cool again.

Fast forward to today and so much of what we got ostracized for is accepted and actually trendy, and beloved by any gender (that would?ve been helpful to me in high school). And it allowed me to enjoy and revel in the toys my son collected, and probably made me look cooler to him.

I wish Hasbro would stop sending those SDCC drop emails when nothing SDCC is available yet. I think they want us to live on Pulse for a while.

So they are just going to rerelease the halo jumper with the diddle bag slightly different webgear and call it hit and run? At first glance I thought it was hit and run.

I don't see why the joe team doesn't release a diorama piece like this tmnt cartoon sewer piece I found on Amazon

It's cartooney as hell, but something like this would be great for a retro figures display. Or make it different backdrops and pose away. Just s thought asi was browsing through the suggested products today

The Gnawgahyde I bought from that guy in China off walmarts website did ship and its already in the US, supposed to have it by the 13th, maybe sooner, will be fun to see what i actually get, lol

Storm rider is one of my favorites from the new era him and burnout both would look real good in classified form especially the details on storm riders mohawk/face imo he looked a lot like daniel craig when i first picked him up that and i liked his black bandana w/the red fangs on it ..

Such a cool figure and his his paslode nail gun was cool ..

I mean everything in this line is reuse to some degree. I don't think they'll just change the webgear and release the Halo Jumper as Hit & Run.

Very likely the camo pattern will be completely different. We'll get a new face sculpt and he'll probably be built from a different buck and have a different helmet as well. The vintage figure has his sleeves slightly pushed up with camo paint on his arms, so I wonder if they'll account for this as well. The harness gear he wears looks like it might be reuse from NF Crazy legs who shares a very similar harness with the Dragonfly release.

I don't think they'll just change the gear and use the same painted Airborne buck for Hit & Run as they did the Halo Jumper.

I have 2 boys too. They love checking out my collection and I love the reverence/respect they show to it. Of course I fully embrace all the things they’re into (as best I can) and that’s been fairly easy with boys. Added bonus is I can buy them all the things that I want and feel slightly less selfish for doing so lol.

This is definitely a big bonus! A lot easier to explain things to the wifey as well, ha.

I will say, my oldest will be 5 in December and he already has the sickness. He is really into Spiderman and his attention to detail is obscene in my opinion for a kid his age. Of course he only likes when Spiderman is wearing his classic blue and red outfit with black spider emblems (none of this iron spider crap or other variants or costumes)

Of course these are also the most annoying and costly marvel legends to acquire, and most come in hostage two-packs or three-packs. When I look for figures that are more for kids his age, it's even worse. Finding a classic looking spidey figure with decent articulation for a 4 year old is way harder than it should be.

I wish 3.75 Marvel Universe figures were still a thing.

Same goes for my He-Man, Go-Bots, TMNT, REAL Ghostbusters, Dick Tracy and Micro Machines collections. But MASK really hurts, only Star Wars and GI Joe had a bigger impact on me as a kid in terms of toys and media.

The Dick Tracy figures were a lot of fun. Of course He-Man and TMNT. All my Masters stuff was second hand but I had almost everything. Where from, I have no idea. I loved the Food Fighters and Bones toys too. I looked a few years back for the Mad Max style Tonka trucks from my childhood but I couldn’t bring myself to pay the steep price

But the MASK Condor, Thunder-hawk & Rhino, along with the some small Dino-Riders were my early childhood favorites. I could only dream of owning 20 MASK vehicles, good gravy!! One day I would like to re-acquire those but I certainly don’t need anything else to collect.
