I think it's a fair bet that more people want the original cartoon figures, and not the ones from that "Got to get tough - Yo Joe!" abomination. If Zandar and Leatherneck had gone up for pre-order, I think Zandar might have sold out.

Now i liked the designs of some of the characters from 1990-1991. I didn?t like how they were portrayed in the DIC series. Though they did have balls to kill off Headman.

I was never a huge fan of Star Brigade either, but I did have a number of the larger battle suit wearing figures like RnR and Heavy Duty. One of my best childhood friends and his brother also collected/played with JOEs and he had the Armor Bot. I was always jealous. I would make fairly impressive giant mechs for my Joes out of Construx to try and rival it, but they just didn’t compare. I did have the General however, and that along with the Battle Wagon were my two favorite vehicles as a kid. They were always fending off Cobra incursions led by the Hammerhead and Razorback. My two friends had a lot of stuff I didn’t (and vise-verse) which was actually great at the time, because we would always play together and it felt like we had everything.

And a sad final note on Star Brigade. I always remember seeing a ton of SB figures at the long-since-gone local outlet mall and kind of understanding even as a kid that JOE was going away. Even with the figures so cheap, I just wasn’t as interested at the time because I was seeing and feeling ARAHs slow death and it bummed me out. Still does.

Is "Sold Out" the bar? The only $25 figure sold out on the Pulse page is Night Creeper. And I'm going to have to seriously contend with the B-List label. Stalker is B-List. Major Bludd is B-List. Raptor and Road Pig are D-List.

I don't think we can see sales quantity on the new Pulse, but it's common for a figure or two to get hot enough when they go up for preorder to hit sold out quickly so that's my only basis of comparison. Bludd and Stalker are A-list to me, but everyone has their favorites. Road Pig did make our March Madness bracket this year, but lost in round one to the eventual Cobra finalist BA CoCo.
