[RedAlert Rescue]

I don't have very much negative to say about the Rattler.. I suppose I might wonder how the landing gear will hold up long term or if they could have included a second rear damage panel and a few more alternative missiles (even if they were reuse or pre-paint ones).

I might find a little dubious it has Nukes.. but maybe it did have Nukes in a story I didn't see and it isn't just a random addition.

Though now it does have Nukes I bet cobra is going to use them on something in the comics.

But yeah I like the Rattle 'just fine' over all & I await with interest to see what they do with regard to complementary additions later on.

I haven't really noticed anyone saying they didn't like it (besides tier one being a set of patches). The thing funded super fast.. I think it's clear people like it a lot.

There are some (me included) that don't have room for one so we're passing purely on size.. but that's not a knock on the quality of the Haslab.. just life logistics really.

But I agree there seems to be a lot of complaining just in general lately.. over seemingly pretty small stuff. I think that's just evidence the line is doing so good people have to nitpick to find ways to conversate.

I love that they look more basic.. and I think that works with the lore honestly (or at least my lore). These are the foundational members of GI Joe.. as the team has expanded it's gotten more garish.. and I can see the newbies ribbing the old guys for how boring they are.. until they see them in action.

But I have enjoyed the updates to Rock n Roll, Stalker, Grunt, and Clutch. I don't even hate Breaker I just wish he came with gear.

I will say I'm pretty psyched about the retro card ones though. I'd love to see most of that team in as original looking gear as possible (also that card art is amazing).. but honestly as long as we get at least one version of each.. I'll be pretty dang happy.

It's part of the many stages of figure purchasing. Many (most? lol) of the Tankers complaining about it will order it and love it. I think next is complaining about how unsuccessful it is because "the numbers have slowed." They'll probably blame the patches, when it's par for the course with HasLabs.

Never underestimate the power of nostalgia. Seeing those "plain" and "dull" greenies on those beautiful Retro cardbacks, will shred those heart strings like the late, great Eddie Van Halen.

It's kind of like a new Star Wars movie. People freak out for the trailer and opening night, then a few months later it sucks, and stays sucking for many years, and then a decade later it's "perhaps we judged it too harshly".

I was reading a book form Star trek when Darklon came out. They were on a volcanic planet and everyone wore a mask to protect them from the hot ash and this explained the mask for me. He was one of my top three favorite figures.

I remember seeing Phantom Menace opening night. The same dorks who were dressed as Darth Vader and swinging those telescoping lightsabers in the line waiting for the doors to open, clapped during the credits and were cheering coming out. I think it's the internet that polluted their brains. Jar Jar wasn't any more "kiddie" than the Ewoks, and it should be a crime to overlook how awesome Darth Maul was. Duel of the Fates was worth the price of admission, alone. Can't even really bash the dialogue as that's been there since Star Wars (A New Hope for the kiddies).

With the HasLab, I wouldn't be surprised if many of the people complaining, end up buying multiples.
