In the same vein as Bucky, I'd also give a bit of leeway to Dick donning the cowl after Batman's death in Final Crisis. That was a solid run, and I liked the juxtaposition of his Batman and Damien's Robin as they both tried to pick up the pieces.

While I initially didn't really have an opinion either way about BBQ, I'd be lying if I didn't admit to "borrowing" the idea of tossing on the Miggs Mayfield Black Series head (doesn't really look like Burr). Don't remember which Tanker had that idea, but thank you, it was a good one! lol

Uhg. Dude that thing...I ended up getting to the hall before it opened Friday (Dealer Badges = entry line skippage) and milled about until they opened the lines. Tiers have nothing to do with moldings, tooling, casting, materials, funding, etc. The tooling may receive a small change but that would be a rare case and that would only depend on how poorly received the marketing ploy of those "tiers" results.

Tooling is done, which is why you saw the "demo" or "prototype" (which really isn't) at SDCC. It really is just a showcase of what is to come. If zero tiers were unlocked, we will still see all those figures released later on, showcased as follow up deluxe packs, new singles or just future releases. If this Baroness fails to unlock, I guarantee you'll see her later on... and if not her exactly, you'll see a strangely similar figure that uses her already made tooling that was apparently "discarded" because it failed to meet it's backer tier.

Let's pretend that zero "tiers" were unlocked for the Rattler, what you probably won't see released later on are the patches, as the production cost for those is so minimally small, Hasbro won't even feel a loss. I'll even wager that the majority of those patches are already manufactured and are either sitting in a warehouse in China or locked in a few Maersk containers floating on the Pacific.

The patches are a consumer test analysis, disguised as a marketing strategy, disguised as an unlockable tier.

Sorry, but none of that is accurate. I asked. We get patches in Tier 1 because they did not want to raise the price or futz with the numbers it takes for Tier unlocks. The patches they brought to the con were one-offs for the production photos and Con displays.

It is absolutely MASSIVE. It just "feels" bigger than the D-fly. The gunner entry hole is almost 3.75" wide. So the height of an ARAH figure. Were you to see it in person all of those doubts would instantly disappear.

Lenny told me there's a guy that has come to SDCC every year since Classified kicked off actively campaigning to get Fridge made. He gave Lenny a lanyard he had created and even passed out stickers to folk walking by. I have a couple.

WW's maps/charts are separate pieces which are keyed onto his legs. The detail on them (the proto's at least) are actually bas-relief (I don't know the toy production term) not tampo. It's quite possible they were applied upside down in error.

It was odd BBQ made the cut so early in the Classified lineup which was probably when Lenny had more budget constraints anyhow. Given Classified's current success, I'd say we have a good shot at getting alternate heads for Airtight and Sci-Fi. Besides, it would be a huge design step-back and disappointment given their 30th Ann. sculpts.

I just got mine today from Amazon, and now that I have it in hand I'll definitely get a second one to display the alt head. My main concern was that his backpack would be too heavy to balance when it was all loaded up, but that doesn't feel like it will be a problem at least for the foreseeable future.
