There won?t be a fourth figure. This Haslab is doing gangbusters. That said, what would you want the fourth figure to be? I don?t think a figure associated with the Night Raven would make any sense at all. What are the options? A ground crew
Doesn?t make sense without ground crew equipment. Maybe repaint the 60th Halon figure as a cobra paratrooper? Maybe working parachutes for the pilot and gunners. It makes total sense if you watched. Your share of GI JOE cartoons. Considering the ladder and opening engine and damaged covers some sort of ground grew member would be appropriate. I was kinda expecting something like a snakeling mechanic or an alt-colour Techno-viper to be honest.. but starting a new style of ground crew would be nice. As for the traffic directing guy - I think he can be a Rattler themed later giftset as he'd be useful for all Cobra aviation toys too. |

The anachronisms and slip-ups and things they "got wrong" have always been part of the magic of Joe. A mute Commando on an elite team, carrying an UZI decades after anyone uses it. Anti-tank trooper in a Jersey. A team's point man with a pet bobcat. Enemy SCUBA troopers with pet barracudas. A fabricated fortress with a main gun that barely moves, which could be taken out from a hundred miles away with any modern cruise missile. An A-10 dogfighting an F-14 and surviving. K9 handler packing a suppressed MAC-10. A tunnel rat with a belt-fed machine gun and huge rucksack. Ninja with nunchaku. Jinx's naginata is some weird fantasy weapon nightmare. Neon ninja. A Ranger wearing a Green Beret. A Marine in an aqua vest with his hamburger meat showing. Serpentor. Motorcycle gangs going toe-to-toe with Army Rangers and Marines. Weapons like the Flak gun still being used and weapons like the HAL that don't even exist. Raptor. Croc Master. Pogo battle ball things...
So, if there's a Marine Sniper (Scarlett was already a graduate of the Marine Sniper School back in 1982) or someone's packing a double-barrel AR or Wild Weasel's maps are upside down, just go with it and enjoy these little errors. |

So far I've yet to see any SDCC exclusive that sold out during the premium hour, so hopefully we'll be fine even if finding out a little late. |

I wonder if the hair pieces in the Baroness Rattler will also fit the Crimson Guard Baroness. Anyone know or heard?

I was wondering about Vehicles & specifically this.
Is there a individual vehicle that would be super popular that was made past the "sweet spot" of 1990 that would sell and sell well ? I could think a few, but the issue was that some of them are from entirely distinct toylines like Sigma Six or Resolute or Renegades or were Movie era toys. Sure there is things I can suggest based on "practical reasons" like the Ice Cutter for example (cheaper and easier to do than a Wolf and yet not limited by being just on skis like a lot of Cobra Arctic vehicles are). There are a lot of rather nice later Hiss Tanks for example I can see selling perfectly OK.. but they might not see the need to make another one with a whole new mould. But considering how much the brand tends to base the version for classified on the later re-do not the original version I just thought the production must be somewhat aware of the later year vehicles too. So what is good enough to sell, useful and from after 1990 do you folks think ? I have a few ideas.. but I was just curious how this place would react to that question.. with agreement and some suggestions or instant dismissal for not being ARAH enough ? |

Tooling is done, which is why you saw the "demo" or "prototype" (which really isn't) at SDCC. It really is just a showcase of what is to come. Tiers are an illusion to get you to believe that with your moneys, you are contributing to the efforts to fund for the tools necessary to create the unlocks, when in fact the truth is you are just paying back for the marketing of their product.

I have a few ideas.. but I was just curious how this place would react to that question.. with agreement and some suggestions or instant dismissal for not being ARAH enough ? Speaking personally, there's not much I like about 1991-2001, in terms of "new" vehicles. Having said that, I could see an Awe-Striker like Sand Razor not being terrible. I always kind of liked that. I also liked the Ringneck, I think that was SpyTroops? because it was in my mind a long-overdue troop carrier like the Joes' APC that I sort of liked the design of... but I don't think it would work in classified (much like I don't think the APC would be very Classified-friendly). I can't think of any actual vehicles or playsets that came out of Sigma Six... can anyone else? But aside from those lines, most of our post-2007 Joe has been based solidly in ARAH and I think they still have a lot to work with. As I think you're pointing out, even 1990 has a few solid hits, but since that time nothing is really coming to mind that's not a retool or rehash of the '80s favorites. |

A true classic. One of the two things I think Hama doesn't get enough credit for is how he could make stories like this that added just so much texture to action figures with virtually no characteristics beyond "this guy flies the Rattler." My brother and I were in awe of this issue. It was amazing.
