I figure there are going to A LOT of people who make patches producing knock offs pretty quick. I personally wish they had velcro backs for my backpack and being able to easily move them around.

The Cantina comes with three newly tooled figures in its base offering, plus Hasbro has to pay the Disney/Lucasfilm licensing fee.

The GI Joe HasLabs should offer more than any SW because Hasbro owns the IP.

Does anyone know - are we in a lull as far as the ratio of 'new' vs 'repaint' releases? It seems like we are getting way more repaints than previously. Even 'new' releases are figuring to be more and more re-used parts (Gnawgahyde, IG, and so on). Less and less 100% new releases. Does this bother anyone? Is this a sign of them stretching the line? Trying to buy additional years?

Saw an interview with the haslab team on YouTube today and they said there would be a sticker sheet included to customize the Rattler much like what’s coming with the dragonfly.

Or maybe it's just par for the course, that as the parts library grows, so will the reuse. The genius lies in making it feel like the figures are new, despite the reuse. I think, with a few exceptions, they've done a great job at that.

This is pretty much what I was about to post.

When a line is new, there's a TON of new tooling because you don't have anything else to run on. But the longer it lasts, the more parts are available for reuse. Happened in ARAH, and in New Sculpt, and in ME. Will happen in Classified and it's to be expected.

The original Starduster was a repaint of Duke, and so the Classified version makes sense to be as well. Sure, you could do a new version of him, but then the ARAH-purists would bitch and moan that he was at all different from the original and they'd have to release this version anyway.
