I think that increases your chances of decreasing the amount of people interested as well. A transformer MOBAT has zero interest to me and would be an instant pass, whereas an actual MOBAT I may buy multiples of. It''s all just a matter of perspective I guess.

I can very much see them doing a 60th Anniversary (line?) Gi Joe Astronaut with EVA pack.

Other nice ideas might be an "actual" Sailor not a Navy Seal, I doubt they'd do it but I can't help but think an SAS dude would sell VERY well due to being a pal for Big Ben but also as well the SAS are popular for a lot of reasons but well The Call of Duty Modern Warfare videogame series is pretty much a story (mostly) about them.

I suppose they could make "1 toy" as Gi Joe / Action Man collaboration to give them an excuse to make it. For similar reasons I'd kinda like a Mounty Too.

I think the main problem Hasbro or any company would have with a modular base sold in separate parts is the chance to be stuck with certain ones not selling as well vs others they can't keep in stock. I think most companies don't like the potential to fragment sales with potential inventory they don't move.

I think any version of the PIT would have to be an all or nothing Haslab type deal.. or at the very least a tiered Haslab. I don't think it's feasible to sell them on Pulse piecemeal. But I'm wrong a lot so......

Honestly, it could be quite a few things.

Does Tony only work on figures because that eliminates vehicles and Command Center

Because they peruse Joe talk message boards etc., maybe it is a: let us put a dark figure (possibly SE) and the Command Center (and an A10) and see their reaction

One way to see how much excitement around a Joe Command Center because they likely do not want a failed Haslab (exclusive etc) with line doing so well. They could come up with 5 different Haslabs that would succeed so put out a feeler first (wishful thinking!!).

I know I instantly thought HF Command centre!!! Command Centre was my first pick up and intro to Joes. Go big or go home (I was in Kindergarten it was bigger than me lol).

What is wrong with serial Killer masks? You prefer seeing their face? Why, you gonna be dead anyways (or you a camera man)? Besides, I would be more concerned with theme music than masks.
