I will say I'm surprised they didn't include 'both' the tech-version of a flight suit - AND a feather-cape version. I think everyone would be much more chill if he also came with the cape.

Wow, that took forever... and I was skimming most of it. Anyway...

-I like Road Pig's design. As a former power lifter, myself, that's what we look like. Bodybuilders look like Arnold Schwarzenegger (in his prime, not now), but power lifters look like Road Pig. Except Ronnie Coleman. That guy was an anomaly.

-For people asking, the ONCE A MAN COBRA COMMANDER will be released on Pulse at some point AFTER the convention is over, so we still have at least three more days and it'll probably be sometime next week (maybe even longer).

-Rattler looks great and I backed as soon as I woke up this morning. Tier 1 is lame, but could be offering a hint at next year's Joe Haslab. We have the Flyswatter patch for Rattler squads that hunt Dragonflies. We also have a Tank Smasher patch, so MOBAT or Mauler next year?

-Tier 2 and 3 are pretty nice. Multiple heads for the gunner and a new sculpt Baroness? Yes please! Not surprised Raven wasn't offered. I think some of us are still hoping for a Night Raven Haslab down the line. Even if they have to scale it down a bit, I'd still be happy, but they could probably make a decent-sized one around the 500 dollar price point.

-Leatherneck looks pretty bare bones, but I guess the accessories budget was spent on other figures in that wave.

-Hate hate HATE the Gung Ho (version one) weapons reuse for the Twilight Guard. Those guns not only look like trash, but they are extremely difficult to pose with. Good thing there are alternatives.

-Raptor looks ok, but I'm really disappointed his falcon isn't even a LITTLE articulated. We got a semi-articulated Freedom, with two pairs of wings, with a standard figure, but they can't do that for a deluxe?

-Name-only retro reveals are all pretty sweet. Not so sure about Mindbender (will probably just get one to keep in packaging), but will likely get two Rock 'n Rolls and at least two Vipers. I just hope Viper comes with his classic rifle.

-Was really hoping Sgt. Slaughter was there to announce the Renegades. Oh well. Maybe next year.

-Heavy Duty is ok, but he was a bit after my time. Law & Order, on the other hand... hell yeah! Just need Big Lob now, to finish the Rawhides! And I can't wait to get a Classified German Shepherd... my favourite dog breed!

-Zandar looks pretty much as I expected. Will buy him, stick him in my Dreadnok display, and forget about him... just like he would want.

Did I miss anything?

I like it, that's what the strongest people actually look like. Not dehydrated, chemically enhanced .0001% bodyfat lean show muscles. Road Pig is a workin' brute with the stamina to bust heads all day and I think that's awesome.


Some characters the showy muscles work for, like Gung Ho I picture being slightly vain and showy so he makes sense. Roadblock - if they ever made him shirtless - I would also imagine not to be hyper-ripped but just strong with a big frame and big arms.


I love seeing different body types, different heights and sizes and body composition even if it means some molds won't be able to be reused as often.

I like Classified Road Pig. May take a few modifications on my end to make him more to my liking, but overall good. He looks way more like a realistic huge human and less like a Masters of the Universe reject that I was afraid he might be. I think they went a little overboard with the stomach tattoo so it will come off my copy, but that is about the worst thing I can say about the figure.

Hope they can add a football jersey to this buck and still make a more handsome Fridge. The original Fridge figure had an idealized physique, but if they re-use Road Pig and make him look more like the real William Perry then I will not complain. The real Mr Remus was never quite as toned as his Sgt Slaughter toy and I am happy they made Sgt Slaughter and not the real person. But for the Fridge, I will be happy just getting him.

I do not see the Road Pig parts being as good for a 7-foot tall Eskimo like Kwinn. Maybe the jungle version, but the bare arm sculpts would not work for an artic version.

Certainly Lenny must have had some idea of a second use of these parts when he designed Road Pig.

I need to see more Road Pig pictures but looking at him in the box looks very cool. In the renders not so much and kind of just a bulk but not muscular guy...

Those of you who are MOTU collectors will understand this, but I feel like Road Pig is sort of like the Ram Man of the GI Joe toyverse. Meaning his buck and tooling are probably so unique in terms of the buck and how no other characters truly look similar, that he may never actually get re-used. The Fridge may work. They could retool or add fur or gear and I suppose use it as a base for a Monstro-Viper too.
