I ordered two of those $22.99 Gnawgahyde figures from the Walmart site yesterday and then panicked when people pointed out it was a third-party seller with no sales history and it was coming from China. I put in a request to cancel the order and Walmart gave me the usual option to fill in a reason why so I put "The seller looks kind of sketchy". I didn't realize that message went directly to the seller who responded "ok" this morning. Haha.
As of right now, it doesn't appear my order has been canceled.

I even geeked out a little bit about the Rattler's display stand having a little drawer for stowing pieces, blast effects, etc. Things like that, the cute ANR headset for Baroness, and thinking about Raptor's wings acting as a shield... I just so appreciate the details and thought they are building into these toys.

Oh WOW! Where can I see this? I haven't even seen it yet and it's already made my millennium!
Zandar's scarf is a part of Zarana's shirt, and they are definitely twins!!! WOOOT! This couldn't have come at a better time. There was a death in the family last month, completely unexpected. And, few months ago, I got some bad news from an eye specialist. Dealing with. This is awesome!! I'll have more to say once I see the figure render and after I've rested up a bit. Thank you, Hasbro!!!

In regards to the size of the Rattler, the fold-up wings are going to go a long way to help with storage. The 33" length means it is still too big to fit in most common bookcases (the ominipresent Ikea Billy is 30" wide), but with wings folded it should fit on top in a room with U.S. standard 8 foot ceilings (although not on the display stand with wings up).
Displaying the Rattler is a separate issue. The 33" x 32" footprint is going to be hard unless part of a dedicated display diorama or as a centerpiece in a display room. Putting four Ikea Detolfs together creates a 34" square which would be the perfect size, but I'm not sure how many people have a 360 degree display of four detolfs outside of stores or maybe the high-end collector with a dedicated display room. I'm sure some people will come up with creative wall or ceiling mounts, but casual display is going to be a challenge. I think this bad boy ends up in some kind of storage mode for most collections and is only brought out for photographs and "play." |

Here's a pic showing the proportions of the HasLab Rattler compared to 1984. Looks like they had to shorten the tail section and wings to make it a reasonable size. Or it could be my eyes playing tricks on me again.
