Personally, I hate the preorder scramble and "chase" and would love a system where I could easily purchase what I want even if I had to order or pay well in advance.

Fortunately, I only collect three lines (Classified, Legends, and NECA Monsters), and the majority of those figures are widely available and rarely sell out. However, when I do get burned (most recently ML Warbird) it is quite frustrating.

Exclusives, limited runs, and chase figures are thorns in my side.

Our conversation, our talk of finding (or not) Tiger Paws in store, of seeing preorder links up on Amazon, asking where we can get Doc in stock right now. They'd be willingly giving up on a significant portion of that (in my estimate) if they made it so consumers could sign up and kick back, passively receiving every GI Joe Classified ever.

So, look - I'm (still, JFC) a MIB Classified Completist. I'm the ideal person for this service. Would love it personally, would sign up personally. But economically on a macro level it doesn't make sense for them to execute.

Three had not occurred to me. Many of these are good points.

I think the passive thing works in the retailer’s favor in some cases, but I had not considered the flip side that you present.

Yeah, I wish it would happen personally - but that's a bit of how my brain works for a similar role in a very different industry than toys.

On the flipside but still depressing, has anyone considered the possibility that the HasLab is tiered like the Star Wars cantina?

You would hope they'd understand to not fix what isn't broken. Both Classified Haslabs have been indisputable successes, they shouldn't change a thing about the formula.

Except to maybe show us all the tiers up front, but I suppose it adds some excitement throughout a long campaign. I would just rather know all the figures up front, even if I don't like one of them, I'm still going to back the project.

In my opinion, a wimpy tier reveal halfway through a campaign does more damage to it's success than a wimpy tier reveal at the start of it.

Agreed show us all the tiers from the start not half way ,either way im in for 2 rattlers , but it would be nice to see everything up front and youre right showing us a whimpy tier midway though doesn't help the campaign and i also wouldnt want them to have 2 different options either leave it alone it will sell ..

Normally we know what is coming 24 hours before Hasbro announces things due to some retailer spilling the beans about pre-orders being set-up and promotional images getting distributed to webmasters.

Not that I like all the spoilers. I am perfectly content to be surprised tomorrow evening.

Edit: I'd also be happy with one final teaser for the Haslab on social media. We have two Cobra posters so far, would not mind seeing a third.

If I were to guess, there will be a prerecorded video / stream released in the morning that reveals the Haslab and or any preorders. Then they'll have the Haslab on display at SDCC and reveal any new digital renders or name reveals at the panel.

Again, just a guess, but revealing a Haslab at the panel that will be at 8pm EST when half the country is getting ready for bed seems like a bad idea.
