What would this mean for those of you who have already army built Cobra Vipers?

I myself have 6 Crimson Vipers, and 3 Cobra Viper 3-packs. I honestly dread having to replace them if a version 2 was released along with it's subsequent variants.

I don't think the situation is much different from the situation with the 3 Pack Vipers, or with the New Cobra Trooper in both cases I prefer the Original I realise people tend to think of Vipers with bare arms but over the course of the line as a whole covered arms is very common.

Personally I would be much more excited to have a new colour than I would to just have "a very slightly different one".

But as others have said if they actually put the effort in to give them a new gun (or even the one the Viper 3 Pack has) then I won't mind. I personally am not a huge fan of the uncovered arms.. But I guess the accuracy over practicality issue that plagues Transformers just decided to show up at Gi Joe's door too.

[And yes I think Cartoon Accuracy is a negative - that is what Super 7 is for ]

So I guess "No I don't hate it" even if it is little more than a slight tweak to the already perfectly fine Cobra Island one, at least it allows people to expand their options, or use some as vehicle crew etc..

Which ever ones people like least can ideally slip on a Ferret or into a Trubble Bubble after all.

& If some people decide they REALLY don't like it so the market crashes on the older ones I'll but rather happy about that too.

I'm sure I can find some use for them regardless.

I like the looks of this Viper. But I don't army build the Retro figs. So I'll just get my usual one and be done with it.

I’m a big fan of the viper mold, especially the sun team variants. I have feeling we won’t see this one used to remake the repaint ones though. I’ll pick up a few kinda like I’m doing with the retro trooper.l since it could be a while till we see the blue shirt style troopers again after these.

I love how iconic the Viper is and I'd be in for a few more of this theoretical retro one if the differences are subtle. However, if the blue is entirely different like how they did the "retro" trooper and it's a total clash I would have to pass. That would be a bad move but I would not be surprised if that's how it'll be.

I got two of the CI vipers and two of the 3 pack vipers. The 3 pack vipers kinda suck but darn it they're a good bundle for weapons. If the plastic quality for the 3 pack viper weapons was the same consistency throughout the line I would be happy. I just don't get how the weapons were fine then and turned into rubber dog shit.

The Viper looks decent enough - i'll probably get one or two - like i do most Cobra troopers.
However - now my mind is stuck on - Who else is in that wave? Maybe a Flint? Not sure who else needs actually redone or "retro'd"

Is there a world where this new Viper figure has a removable helmet? Hence why it's shown with what could maybe double as a Mercer head or just a generic trooper?
