It's an easy flip for Target to have as an exclusive line. It's not taking the place of any other figures.. in fact it might be helping us get new figures. It's super easy to skip these if they aren't wanted.

Most of the other subteams people say they'd rather have are not simple repaints.. thus the reason that is unlikely to happen (at least as a store exclusive line).

This is a mutually beneficial set up for both Target and Hasbro. The Re-use of these molds is part of the success of Classified right now so it's easy to argue it's mutually beneficial for the fandom as well.

If this is indeed a Retro Viper with a better overlay and more rolled up sleeves and articulation, I'm probably going to have to buy 4. What if GASP, they have vacmetal faceplates!?

I guess this is how Marvel Legends fans feel when they improve on characters and figures they already have. I'm ok with all of this if it keeps the line going.

I was kind of expecting it. I like the existing Classified Viper so I would just integrate the retro version into my existing group.

My only big gripe with the original was the long sleeves. A bit of exposed skin adds a good pop of contrasting color to break up the dark blue. I have about 7 regular vipers (6 from 3-packs and 1 Cobra Island version) and have already customized 2 of them to have short sleeves and fixed the multipacks muted colors.

I'm excited by the prospect of a retro release and would gladly pick up a few.

I have only two CI Vipers and quite a few from the 3-pack. They are not so different that they cannot be worked in as belonging to the same squad.

I love how iconic the Viper is and I'd be in for a few more of this theoretical retro one if the differences are subtle. However, if the blue is entirely different like how they did the "retro" trooper and it's a total clash I would have to pass. That would be a bad move but I would not be surprised if that's how it'll be.
