Agreed, but $230 for the Bridge Layer and $200 for the Wolverine don?t seem to out of line and you?d still have the option of displaying it as a standard tank when you wanted to change it up

Everything for SDCC is a lottery. Tickets, hotel, and even the big exclusives. This year Hasbro joined the lottery system for exclusives, so you had to choose a day and time with one or more of your alloted tokens (12 a day) to get a chance to go to the booth to purchase exclusives. Last year, they just had a card that you could pick up in the booth with a code, log on to Pulse, and purchase what you wanted.
On that topic, for people going to SDCC this year, did you get a Hasbro time slot. I got one for Saturday. Tried to get Funko again and didn't. The 10+ years going to SDCC, and I have never got Funko. |

So you can spend hundreds of dollars at SDCC and still *not* get a reasonable chance at buying the exclusives you want?
I've been told not to yuck another person's yum, but wow, what a colossally f****** stupid thing to attend. Might as well use a fraction of that money and chance getting CC on Pulse; heck, even spending $100 for it on eBay would leave you financially way ahead of all the SDCC costs.

Good news is there is nothing I am interested in. The Once a Man Commander I really am not jumping up and down for to be honest.

I kind of feel the same way about Disneyworld, and increasingly, a lot of concert festivals... I don't mind crowds, but they are getting out of control, and price-gouging everything to absurd amounts, ugh. I'm so sick of it.

Right? It's so bad. I hope the real one won't be anything like that. Quote:

Agreed. I used to dream of going to SDCC - I don't want to go anywhere near it now. Just looks WAYYY too expensive and honestly just a big PITA.

My cousin that lives in sacramento and i went back in 2014 what a shit show its cool and im glad i went but now , you couldnt pay me to go , disney world i took my son there 3 different times when he was younger w/whoever i was dating @ the time and those were good times but now never , and my good friend down here his wife has the lifetime memebership or something like that to disney world she goes 30-40 times a year , Concerts are the same way even my girl isnt in the mood for it and its not our age either its the mentality/entitled bullshit that follows those type of venues around and the target demographic audience doesnt help it either . And not to mention literally getting rapes through your cc whilst paying for it is just as bad dont get me started on cruises either . Done with that shit as well .

There is a new system this year (at least with Hasbro) where you had to sign up for a specific day to visit their booth to purchase items and you had to select which items you were going to buy. They, basically, eliminated the walk up purchases, from what I understood from reading the information Hasbro released.
Not sure if it changes as SDCC goes on each day and it becomes open "to the public" so to speak. That said, rules didn't seem to be followed at last year's SDCC the way codes were being handed out like candy to everyone by the handful. Maybe it won't be too difficult this year. |

That's crazy. A lot of people travel long distances to attend and it would be infuriating to not get the exclusives you want.
