Real truth right there , i had maybe 20 friends/acquaintances that collected/bought joes when we were kids we all watched the sunbow cartoon but only 2 others & myself collected/bought the comics some of them werent allowed to read comics , it was the 80?s comics were as bad to some people as 80?s rock was , my dad owned a book/magazine store , and my mom owned a foreign/import high end bakery etc .. so my dad brought home comics from his shop and there was a comic shop besides my moms store in the good old french market back in good ole cbus ohio .

The comic was way more serious than the cartoon was and nothing but the names of the people/equipment was canon btwn the 2 so i feel like IMO we had the best of both worlds btwn the 2 ..

In the prime of RAH, G.I. Joe had at least three continuities that were ongoing:

1) The Sunbow Cartoon
2) The Marvel Comics
3) The Filecards and Blueprints
Note: 2 and 3 are fairly closely aligned but there are some differences if you dig in and prominent characters in the comics that are not represented in the toys.

More importantly, there was the 4th continuity: the head-canon created by every kid as they played with their toys. This was often a mash-up of filecards, cartoons, and comics with whatever elements came into play from the kid's imagination or toy box.

That's why the continuity-agnostic approach of Classified is so brilliant. They are not tied to any continuity. Sure, they want to capture the essence of the character, but it's not like Star Wars or Marvel where each character is linked to a particular scene or issue. I don't mind them drawing inspiration from comic or cartoon stories, but I want them to be Classified versions rather than attempts to replicate either source with 100% fidelity.

What I am expecting to see at SDCC next week

- HasLab Rattler (of course)
- more of Nemesis Enforcer
- more of Once a Man Cobra Commander
- Render reveals for Wave 18, Road Pig and Raptor
- Mid-size vehicle reveal
- a few name only reveals

Wait can you elaborate? Based on your post, it sounds like WE WON'T BE GETTING RAVEN as a haslab tier unlock and instead we will be getting the 100th Baronnes in the line. Baronness is cool, but I'd much rather have Raven as a tier unlock.

Flight suit Baroness, could sell on her own in either the retro or classified line. Raven, is an obscure character, that would be perfect to have as a tier unlock.

I'd be perfectly fine if we get both RAVEN and Baroness as tier unlocks.

How long ago was this focus group conducted?

Based on comments under gi joe classified videos on youtube, it seems that more people actually want RAVEN as a tier over Baroness, but they also want them both.

So what's the probability, that we will see RAVEN as a tier unlock this coming haslab??

Seems pretty likely, i can see Zandar getting a digital render as well, about the time for him to get that as he is rumored to be in the first wave of 2025

I think they pretty much heavily hinted that Road Pig is at the test shot stage so they might have him physically at SSDC.

I can see them whipping an MMS https://www.3djoes.com/mms.html out from underwraps out of no where.

It is a shame they seems very hesitant about Playsets as i'd like something like : https://www.3djoes.com/mountain-howitzer.html for Classified too.

As for Medium/small vehicles the https://www.3djoes.com/cobra-fang.html keeps coming up recently.
