I think you are in the majority as well going by the sales numbers of the retro figures compared to the other classified figures. It is not even close based on Pulse.

But you make a good point. Eels and Snow Serpent, 2 troop builders, were not given mainstream releases. That alone was a dumb move by Hasbro. They corrected the mistake by minor edits of the retro ones and made them wide scale releases. That is a win in any book.

That said, what is shown is what has been speculated and strongly hinted at here. It also fits what Hasbro has done by all but revealing the actual item and making the tiers the stars of the show.

That is exactly what Hasbro is going for. They have heard the trepidation amongst collectors about space and concerns with the Rattler. Best way to combat that? Make the tiers too good to pass up the project.

This is gonna sound dumb of me but I think a problem with the snow serpents and the eels is there's not enough Joe's in those themes. All you got is Snow Job, Torpedo and the navy diver(and arguably arctic SS even tho it's NF SS). So it's going to be disappointing for people when you start realize there's not a lot that goes with them.
