Also kinda funny that we're gonna have both Road Pig from the Transformers and Road Pig from GI Joe on the shelves at the same time:

I gotta imagine we'll see Zandar renders during the next panel or stream or the one following it. According to Full Force Zandar is part of the first 4 figure wave of 2025. So I imagine that would be a Feb or March delivery.
As far as Snake Eyes goes, you might be waiting quite a bit. I think the rumor is V4 Snake Eyes is next, and I'm guessing the Joe Design team feels they already checked the V2 Snake Eyes box with the very first release. Maybe we'll get a retro card V2 Snake Eyes? |

Retro Jinx will need more than just the current arms cast/painted red. Really needs a nice fabric texture to match the rest of her gi.
Akiko would be someplace to start, but her sleeves do not look close enough if you want Jinx V1. And single jointed elbows without bicep swivel. The rest of the female arms either have high gloves or short sleeves or some other reason that make them unsuitable for a Jinx V1 look. At least all the arms I can remember. So retro Jinx is easy, but will require new parts from Hasbro to make her look good. Generally it seems like Lenny will go the extra mile rather than say "close enough" these days. Retro wave 1 was full of compromises, but after the success of Retro Scarlett and Duke it seems like Retro figures are getting better budgets. Only the Retro Cobra Trooper seems to be getting the "close enough" treatment lately. |

The first EEL was hard to get for many so having it be basically the same wasn't a bad thing.

Yeah. I don't see a problem with the retro Snow Serpent and Eel. I already had the original releases and skipped the retros. But I think it's a good thing they got highly demanded figures out in the market again. Seems a weird thing to critique.
I always liked Snake-Eyes v4 and look forward to the Classified version. Kudos to the Classified team for not feeling obligated to rush to a retro v2 version. Certainly he's planned. But it's nice to see other versions of SE getting some attention. |

I think it depends on how we view the Retro subline. Is it supposed to be scaled up ARAH style figures or just the Classified figures with a more retro look. Duke, Scarlett, and CObra Commander seem to set a standard that hasn't really been matched elsewhere in Retro. The EEL and Snow Serpent don't feel out of place in the Walmart version of Retro.

I don't like when they use Retro as a simple reissue vehicle. Retro Duke, Scarlet and Snake Eyes are shining examples of nailing the target. The Eel, by contrast, is a tarnished object lesson of inaccuracy.

But it's nice to see other versions of SE getting some attention. The quality of the retro Snow Serpent and Eels are better than the mainline version. The first snow serpent feels out of place as a troop builder but more an officer. They should have named him that after the figure in the Arctic squad set from 2008. ARAH accessories would have been preferred here. Retro Eels has better quality accessories and the Cobra symbol on the backpack is a definite upgrade from the goofy first release. They corrected the gummy weapons with the retro as well. Would have preferred ARAH gear as stated above. Beachhead is well a home run and I would never thought the Cobra Island version would be topped but the retro version destroys its predecessor. Retro Scarlett, Duke, Cobra Commander, Storm Shadow, Snake Eyes and Zartan are the definite standard for the classified figures. The argument can be made for the MOD Zartan. I think the popularity of the line surprised Hasbro and they have improved the quality a ton since Baroness, Lady Jaye and Destro, not that any of those were bad. The Gung-Ho is fantastic as well. Hasbro has definitely listened to fans in regards to the retro. They improved the figures, the accessories and the card back. There is almost a different quality control for the retro vs the mainline figures. Major Bludd is going to blow people away when it is released in retro form.
