I had to resort to carving channels in the top and bottom of the ab section. It fixed the issue but, seems a needless pain in the ass. The most unforgivable f-up is the neck. They flattened the bottom so that it rests flush against the interior of the torso. Even rounding the base of the neck round does little to add range because the back of the neck is sculpted too high. Why make a needless alteration that actually limits articulation? On a Ninja. (Pic before I chemically sanded the channels with acetone)

Retro Jinx will need more than just the current arms cast/painted red. Really needs a nice fabric texture to match the rest of her gi.

Akiko would be someplace to start, but her sleeves do not look close enough if you want Jinx V1. And single jointed elbows without bicep swivel.

The rest of the female arms either have high gloves or short sleeves or some other reason that make them unsuitable for a Jinx V1 look. At least all the arms I can remember.

So retro Jinx is easy, but will require new parts from Hasbro to make her look good. Generally it seems like Lenny will go the extra mile rather than say "close enough" these days. Retro wave 1 was full of compromises, but after the success of Retro Scarlett and Duke it seems like Retro figures are getting better budgets. Only the Retro Cobra Trooper seems to be getting the "close enough" treatment lately.

Exactly. Initially I was just going to paint her arms. However, before I tackle anything that greatly alters a figure I comp it out in Photoshop first. Sometimes what we see end the mind's eye looks like crap in practice. Anyhow, once I saw the result it was a big ole "NO".

It’s ok. A little loose and his vest collar kind of holds it up, but it stays on well enough and it fits the aesthetic.

Phoenix goes up for preorder Thu 7/18. I'm still disappointed Hasbro made new thighs for Warbird which have sculpted boot tops. And didn't reuse them for Phoenix who has the same style boots. I'm sure they wanted to give Phoenix thinner thighs to distinguish her from Warbird, but they should have just given them the same legs.
