The Flagg, Terror Drome, and Defiant would definitely get buyers as HasLabs, I bet, at O-ring scale. Not sure where I would put them exactly but I?m the same: always wanted these but not able to shill out the thousands to get them in good condition (and continue to feed my family, anyway).
They could have had some awesome HasLabs though if they actually tried with the new o-ring figures. Those are most likely gone for good outside of Super7 if they're taking over. Last edited by Trigger2K; 07-12-2024 at 08:50 AM.. |

Just watched the teaser for the new Captain America, now I really need that new Sam Wilson Cap to fight with Classified against Red Hulk when it happens. Holy Crap that looks good.

I don't see Hasbro ever making something the size of the Flagg again even as a HasLab. They charged $500 for the Sail Barge and the Flagg is 3 feet longer and wider as well. It's kind of surprising it went into production in the 80s.

I've been unboxing a lot of figures since I finally have a good display area setup. My favorite so far has been the windowless with the black and white portrait that the figures are tied to and box of weapons. I like the art work and they are the easiest to open. I understand that design isn't appealing to in box collectors. Since I don't rebox my figures I have started to use a small pair of nail scissors to make relief cuts in the plastic bubbles to make the removal of stuff less scary.

That would be cool, and I like the comment about the new look and he makes it about the mustache, (no one will notice a totally different person) lol. Love those kind of inside jokes in movies.

I open everything so the packaging aesthetics have never mattered to me beyond protecting the figures inside... but good grief it's like they mold that inner tray round the weapons now... super frustrating.

Execs in the 80s were all high on cocaine. They rubber-stamped EVERYTHING.

That's why it was great growing up in the 80's..cool toys were made and the toy companies didn't overprice them. There weren't deluxe figures, the exclusives figures were easy to get by cutting flag points off the cards and mailing them in and waiting weeks to get them. We had playsets and vehicles galore... It was truly a great time to be a kid
