Yeah, the Retro line so far has been a mix of both. Baroness, Gung-Ho, Snake Eyes and Lady Jaye were pretty much based on their original ARAH figures. But then Destro, the Crimson Guard and Zartan were obviously inspired by the cartoon. I guess you could put Storm Shadow in either group since his Sunbow design was pretty close to the figure anyways.

Either way they'll hook me. Lately, I've been contemplating not even opening my HISS CC. Since he'll inevitably be put away when they release the un-derped logo version.

Very true. I would have liked an ARAH figure style SS with "short sleeves" though. As it was I pulled his arms and smoothed the "rips"

I prefer Sunbow to RAH (I like the big Sunbow gloves and the light blue undershirt in particular) but I will be all-in on either version. If it's a blue neck RAH version, I will probably paint the neck, but otherwise I'd be okay with it.

Me too! Wish they had re-used Kamakura's upper arms for the retro SS release. Speaking of which, how hard is it (if it's even possible) to customize a Classified figure's upper arms with a different figure's lower arms? I haven't attempted it, but now I am curious!

I'm confused as to what the issue is here? It's been said before that store or other exclusive items are sold to BBTS so they can sell them internationally where those stores aren't (Walmart exclusives for example).

I imagine that's what is happening here. Hasbro had extras, BBTS bought them to sell to countries where Pulse isn't available and people don't want to go through Ebay.

Was there much more they could do to Destro to make him more ARAH than he originally was outside of colors?

Lady Jaye wasn't even THAT ARAH accurate if we're going by the artwork.

Feels like this is being a bigger issue online (not here) than it really should be. It has been pointed out this isn’t the first time for a Haslab to be offered well after the campaign has closed. The Razor Crest was recently put on the wholesale site and I was fortunate to get one from a tanker at Haslab price. There was another mentioned in this thread that it showed up about a year later but not directly from Pulse.

Every Haslab probably has leftover stock for defects, returns and even cancellations due to declined cards etc. I would imagine they do not let them sit around and probably sell them off wholesale.

Maybe this is all just a matter of BBTS having returns, selling off its extra stock or just finding the product in its warehouse.
