Lady Jaye wasn't even THAT ARAH accurate if we're going by the artwork.

I think the only thing they really could have done with Destro was give him the vac metal head. His regular Classified figure was pretty much accurate to the ARAH design.

Yeah, retro Lady Jaye was more accurate to her ARAH figure compared to her original art. The regular release was sort of done in the old card art colors, but then obviously had all the modern gear instead.

Can you elaborate on what you think the impacts of BBTS selling these are?

In other words, with the knowledge that BBTS has Haslab Skystrikers for sale, how do we expect consumer behavior to change in the future (good, bad, or indifferent)?

Just from what I've read and my own thoughts, it seems the impact is that if people think they will be able to buy a HasLab later (particularly after reviews come out), it affects whether they back the campaign initially. From the other side, people who bought into HasLabs (taking the risk of problems like what happened with Legends Sentinel) seem annoyed that Pulse wasn't really the only place to get the product.

BBTS, in some ways, is a more attractive place to get a HasLab than Pulse. You pay on shipment, rather than upfront, and you can cancel up to the last minute (not just in the first days after the campaign ends). If the markup is only going to be $70, many might take that deal.

There is also a little bit of anger, I think, from people that bought HasLabs hoping to flip some or all of their order. If BBTS (or others) can get a hold of a large batch, it undercuts the resale value.

No matter how BBTS got these, I am pretty certain we will see a repeat of this with the Hiss Tank. At some point after release, I expect 24+ of them to pop up there.

Honestly, BBTS did this with the Barge over 4 years ago and with the Razor Crest a couple years back. I don't think it affected their relationship with Hasbro in any way, shape or form. I guess because there was never a Joe HasLab item until this past year, the Joe community just wasn't aware it's happened before on different occasions and now it's sort of big news on here.

Some of the angst over this didn't come from the Joe community. And it's never happened quite this way. But, overall, you make a good point.

I cannot speak about Emily or her post as I did not read or see them. I do see the point that BBTS used the word ?exclusive? for the first time with its Haslab reselling.

No effect probably.
BBts is selling at Ebay secondary market prices.

Only reason Skystriker prices looks reasonable is because Skystriker
actually shows us there can be too many backers on Haslabs for Consumers.

There's too many Haslab Skystrikers made to keep the price high.

Why would we? They've only had a few Haslabs, not all of them. I certainly wouldn't be sitting here hoping they get Giant Man in a year and thus don't back it now.

Again, it could simply be Hasbro selling off some product to BBTS to sell mostly internationally. The likelihood that they are going to have hundreds of each Haslab showing up once people's have shipped is ludicrous.

If the HISS shows up soon? Sure, I'd argue that might be making it look like Hasbro is simply reserving product to sell at other retailers and therefore maybe wait on an item. But so far it's been a select few items, and we don't really know where they came from. Were they extras made to cover lost or damaged items? Are they ones BBTS specifically ordered separately after the items funded and Hasbro obliged them?

This would 100% be me. For a mark-up, it's worth it to just reserve it with a down payment and pay a year later when it comes out, not pay hundreds all at once when I may not have it. It's way too hard to sell off enough stuff quickly enough to afford a Haslab during it's campaign period.

I honestly wish Hasbro would do this and allow other big retailers to offer it for pre-order at a mark-up.
