Huh, so Cobra is now just a ruthless ‘organization’ and no longer terrorists? At least GI Joe remained American’s daring highly trained special mission force.

Yeah but you can only play snake eyes and you probably won?t have the ability to use the commando version. I wanna be able to place like falconer kinks serve somebody like that you know I don?t wanna have to always be Duke snake guy Scarlet roadblock etc. Or what would be really awesome if you could create your own G.I. Joe characters and have them be a new recruit kind of like fallout or dark souls or something.

Is ripcord
G.I. Joe will be playable for up to four people locally and online and will feature six playable characters: Duke, Scarlett, Roadblock, Snake Eyes, Gung-Ho, and Ripcord. They all will have unique fighting styles and special. The combat will have a heavy focus on parrying and blocking, so mashing buttons won't take you anywhere in this one. There are plans for DLC characters in the future, both Joes and Cobras, but so far nothing has been disclosed. Wrath of Cobra is heavily influenced by the classic cartoon series and is set in the Real American Hero Universe. Long-time fans of the show will be able to see a lot of familiar locations like Cobra Island, the Pit, and Cobra?s top-secret underwater base, not to mention familiar characters and enemies from the franchise. |

And that would be awesome they go that route or MGSTPP style. This is a side scroller like Shreddeds revenge- awesome nostalgia btw. I?m not expecting much out of this one. Hope to be pleasantly surprised.

Wow! This looks like it could kick total ass if the controls are silky smooth, if the game isn't hard as heck or impossible to beat or if there are no bugs in the game. The graphic design and sprites look fun! Definitely giving off the early '90s vibes (a la TMNT4 Turtles in Time or BattleToads or X-Men Age of Apocalypse on the Super NES). Really curious how the music will be. Could be awesome if they make it true to the SNES with some midi chip tunes for the soundtrack and sound FX.
Honestly, this is what we mostly like would have gotten if G.I. Joe had come to the Super Famicon/Nintendo back then in the '90s (we never got one). I loved both NES games, so this is like a spiritual successor of sorts. I know the NES ones were more action/adventure games than fighters/beat 'em ups, but this game looks like it came right out of 1992-1995, when beat 'em up side-scrollers, 2D-action and fighting games were all the rage and at their peak. Totally looks like TMNT IV Turtles in Time or the Mega Man X series of games (or any Capcom games) on the SFC/SNES. I'm all in!
