Me and my friends played the remote co-op last night, like I was saying in my previous post. Spent hours, beating it.
Some notes: -It starts out with only Story available, but you can unlock Arcade, Boss Rush, randomizers, and Gung-Ho and Ripcord. We unlocked Gung-Ho (who is SUPER OP in the best of ways), and a 'double enemies' to use it to grind the unlock materials. - Playing together, it took us about two and a half hours to beat all twelve current levels. - We had one game over. We would have had more, but we would leave and come back to where we were to pick up and keep back going. We did this three times, aside the game over. We played on the Easy difficulty. - So. Many. References. You will find thigs around every corner that just tickle your nostalgia. I won't spoil anything, but expect nods to other factions in fun ways and THE MOST RANDOM vehicles. - Some things are still a bit janky. Some of the cutscenes did not pop- well, most of them, did not- unless starting a level, directly. That said, what was there was good for many a laugh. - There is so much room for growth, with more characters and content, but it feels so good and smooth. One of our players, who is a professional streamer, outright said it was better than any other beat'em-up aside TMNT Shredder's Revenge. - We had one bug; my Snake-Eyes had a brief glitch where his sword swing caused him, and him alone, to go slow-more. Hit the ultimate, and then we wrecked the boss, and we restarted next level. No issues, after that. |

I decided to give this a try because Steam gives a money back guarantee under 2 hours of play. I got about 15 mins in, and was not really that thrilled. The thing that stuck out to me through the whole session is the knockback that the player takes, but the enemies seem to be mostly immune to, especially Major Bludd. This seems like a minor thing but the lack of a reaction from an enemy when it gets hit is really off putting. It's hard to tell whether hits register or not.

They seemed to expect a lot of the consoles to open up in 'weeks,' so I would expect my mid or late October, it will have rolled out.

Got this game in the morning and beat it in couple of hours.
I dont know what you guys playing - but this game is just a half done "thing".... You install the game, open it...the first trailer - yeah!..a real american hero!...(cool, but we saw it during the promotional campaign), then you choose your character (I went with RB) and you push "start game" - the second trailer wohoo!!!...about a story of CC and Destro...and thats it. 12 LEVELS and no other video about the story!...There are - NO STORY at all!!!...Still dont know what happened to CC and Destro clones... + they included the "fun" video from Pulse Con which pop up at random place and time while you play.... If you play through the levels...all you got - the name of the stage. Only if you go back to menu and load each stage separately - you will get a loading screen for each stage with some info about the mission and slight connection to the story. The characters and enemies - arent balanced. Some doing nothing...some are just cant let you get through. I hated those Ninja Vipers with their throwing blades... RB" super power is his MG which wont do so much damage...but Gung-Ho 3x trooper team is beat the hell out of your enemies..and if you quick enough you can send another 3...so there are 6 Joes with your Gung-Ho...Its definitely out of balance.... Same with Snake Eyes...there are a chance you send in 2x Timbers in the same attack....what the... The controls are just another headache... Sometimes the enemies wont do their routine animation and cut it in 1/3 or 1/2 and do another attack..while your character will do everything you pushed... There are a "practice stage" or something...they show you the basic movement and action....and no words about combos or anything.....Even in the TMNT Shredders Revenge - you had a move list. Music during the game....the same at every stage. Sometimes there are no music at all cause its ended...a little pause and its starts over again. Positive things about the game? - You saw all the positive things in the promotional gameplays and during beta - there are nothing new. You can be sure - this game isnt finished. Still dont know why it was so necessary to release it at this stage? P.S.: Can someone tell me that when you beat your enemies what are those instruments (Screw diver, wrench and such) - that stays after them on the stage, what for?

I'm not playing the demo, it's the full version. I don't think Roadblock was available in the demo, was he?

Funny thing with the Fire BAT"s..if you dont hit them, they explode...but no "screw divers+wrench" are left....While you punch the hell out of them, they still "explode" - but there are "screw diver+wrench" left. Logic? Just remembered some other "bits": - At the controls, sometimes when you turn with weapon, the game thinks you want to run...so instead of firing your weapon - your character throws it away...very annoying. - Each time you beat the boss - each time you get the same message. "You won now, but the next time I"ll be back"....12x times..... - The boss list...at the point I first saw "Evil Duke" and "Evil Snake Eyes" - I was laughing so hard....whats the point? There are no other Cobra characters? Raptor, Darklon, Big Boa, Croc Master, Wild Weasel, Scrap Iron, Copperhead, Pythona, Serpentor, etc... - just to name a few.... (I guess they are going to be the super mega DLC"s...if there will be any) - And I dont understand whats the point to promote the game with characters you wont able to play with until you beat the game at least twice? (Gung-ho and Ripcord)
