The tank probably deserved it.

I thought the same thing. Then I thought about it more. If Storm Shadow can beat up a tank then I guess Duke can also. Wait! Dukes not a ninja. Oh wait I forgot. Everyone is a ninja on the joe team now.

No offense to the poster, good ol' Tony, but as someone working on the game and a former gaming store manager of five years, I can promise you, that is not a launch trailer. ^-^
Launch trailers are the final trailers before/as the game releases, and this one is just not there, yet. |

I got into the testing group, and while I cannot really give details to things, but I haven't seen any Dreadnoks in it yet in what I have tested, so I honestly have no idea on this.
What I will say is that some of the lore pulls are CRAZY cool. Some very recent Classified figures, Modern Era figure only troops, references to internationals, seriously, the team absolutely did their research or is filled with Joe fans. And the gameplay is FUN. It's a side-scrolling beat'em up. I don't want to have AAA complexity with a literal 500-piece collect-a-thon or crafting menu or stuff. I want to sit down on my couch with a coffee and punch bad guys, and in that realm, I have had a ton of fun with it so far. It plays so, so, so smoothly. I think I am allowed to give some impressions past that, so I will also add-
- Seriously, I cannot stress enough, the lore pulls. I keep smiling with every new level I play. - Snake-Eyes is such a blast to play. I feel so swift and agile, and he hits hard. Really fun. - Duke plays as you would expect; the 80's version kind of became my least favorite version of him, so I do not play him too much, but he was more than fine. - Roadblock is not my playstyle, but people who want to Hulk their way through are really going to enjoy him. - Scarlett is a ton of fun. I really feel like I can dip and weave out of the crowds, and really take 'pot shots' for big hits but you gotta keep moving or careful as our Counter-Intelligence lass. - The team has been absolutely CRAZY receptive in our feedback. Honestly, I cannot compliment this game enough, and I am ravenous for the release. Super, super stoked for a final project. |
