Today, I went to Amazon to pick up a two action figues. Price was $48 and change. To my shock, Amazon did not provide me with a free shipping option, which it always does when you order more then $25 when items are shipped by Amazon. Figures were also sold by Amazon. I tried adding items to my cart from third party sellers, and the free shipping option came up but not for the figures sold by Amazon.
The product listing still says free shipping on orders over $25 shipped by Amazon, but this was the message about why I didn't get free shipping. "Not Eligible:Your eligible Amazon.com items shipping to this address total less than $25. Please note that some items are not eligible for FREE Shipping. These include toys, video games and accessories, baby items, and certain heavy or oversize items that incur a shipping surcharge." I tired it with several differnet combinations of Joe and Marvel Legends figures, but no free shipping offered when sold by Amazon. Maybe its just a website glitch, but has anyone else encoutered this in the past few days? |

I'm Prime, and as recently as this morning, the only time I have to pay shipping is a non-Prime affiliate.

I just tried with a non prime account and was offered free shipping on a $34 toy order.
Probably some glitch with the product you're ordering. I've gotten toy products sold by Amazon that had the lithium battery warning label on the box when they don't take batteries. Had to put a warning label on the return box as well. |

Sucks for non-Prime members, but I always thought it was just a matter of time, especially given the current state of the economy.

I wouldn't be surprised if they open up the min-purchase of $35 (or maybe even go up to $40) for the non-Primers as the holidays get closer.
