Yes, BUT I believe he considers his G.I. JOE DECLASSIFIED and STORM SHADOW series as canon. So they're basically canon in TWO universes. He made references to those series, including having characters show up in his IDW comic.

It?s pretty interesting to see G.I. Joe back with an image, and it'll be interesting to see how they tackle not only Transformers but both franchises. Hopefully, whoever Image hires to work on this story is respectful to both the characters and the source material.

Hopefully only have ARAH and Special Missions titles. Comic prices have jumped again. Marvel is at $5 an issue now.

It's because bleedingcool broke the story early. Kirkman wanted it to be a complete suprise for those reading void rivals on release.

I get that, but modern PR and IP rules being what they are it's genuinely hard to pull off a shock like this.
