As a dual fan, (I like TF and Joe) this sounds great!

I tell you, I'd be fine with 2"-3" Joes that fit in Transformers IF to get these tiny, probably 5-7 POA figures, you had to buy them in a pack with a matching 3 3/4" O-ring figure. That way you'd have a figure that looked right with the Transformers and figures that looked good alone. Especially if they made a few Transformers that were properly scaled for 3 3/4" like the MegaHISS and BumbleAWE

Kind of wonder if it's nothing more than an Old Snake type thing.
But it's still mystifying you can't make a good Joe (or TMNT) action movie these days. It can't possibly be that difficult. |

Marvel films did well by investing in big name talents. Not big name celebrities. The Rock is a great celebrity with limited acting range. Both the Joe and TF franchises have suffered from weak to wooden to bad acting. To succeed at the level of such an undertaking, Paramount has to invest in talent at every level of the film-making process. The Edward James Olmos' led Battlestar Galactica proved that military and scifi can captivate an audience without becoming too distant from humble and hammy beginnings, and remarkable talent among names and new discoveries made for a great finished product.

The marvel comparison is difficult since superheroes seem to have a more enduring popularity than military fantasy does with younger people. If a Transformers crossover helps create a more culturally acceptable niche for Joes, it would be a good thing even if that vision doesn't 100% match with an older fan's head canon. If the fan base is entirely old dudes then the brand is going to die with us.

With the gi joe movies only getting worse, what are the odds GI Joe kills the transformers franchise, instead of transformers reserecting GI Joe?
