Wait a minute - Patrick accidentally leaked the Rancor Haslab and nothing happened to him.
Why the hell would Hasbro be upset that a Dragonfly Haslab leaks? If anything that would allow some serious hype, people starting to find a way to make space, budget for it, etc. I'm calling bullshit on this. Especially because now that this is out? Herrera must be the one who leaked this to this Youtuber. Which means Herrera can kiss any chance of working with Hasbro goodbye once Hasbro finds out this drama all got out, if true. Especially because you know some fan will bring it up during the next livestream. Hope you like Valaverse, Adam, because that's probably the only place that will hire you now. |

As someone who works in the 3D visualization industry myself - what is this S3DToys guy doing??? This is the most unprofessional, career-ending cringe-worthy video I've seen. There are multiple points about this video that set of massive red flags for me:
1. If you really DID do the work for Hasbro - you obviously had to sign a NDA. So what are you doing talking about it? Career Suicide. Are you a moron? If you violated your NDA on one project - so much so that the client would cancel the project... there is no way that they would hire you for a second project. 2. No 'professional' designer talks about themselves or their work like this. "This is the best thing I've ever done", "I love the design I created", "my work here was outstanding", etc. Humility. All true professionals work with huge doses of humility. You, sir, are no professional. 3. Therefor - I call BS. I don't think this was ever a real design, or a real Hasbro project. This is just some amateur wannabee trying to get some notoriety on the internet. I'd also like to add that the model shown doesn't look like the quality I'd expect to see from a Hasbro toy. Look at the front - Everything is very boxey, the nose is a bit to thin, the sensors up front don't interface with the body in a way that would snap together. The same with the side wings and missiles. That winch looks thrown together with primitives (when someone uses basic shapes in 3D). Having the sky striker in hand there's no way Hasbro would have gone forward with a B level model like this. |

This is spot on, especially the part about the NDA. I can't believe this person was really hired by Hasbro to work on this project. The unprofessionalism is just unbelievable.

Well, to be fair - its not a complete apples-to-apples comparison. I work in 3D Visualization for architects and developers - creating renderings and animations of buildings and such. Still - workflow and clients are similar no matter what the end result is.

This whole thing just sounds like someone desperate for attention and YouTube likes. I honestly doubt any of it is true. It smelled liked BS from the moment it first came up.
They're probably laughing at this made-up drama over at Hasbro and debating if they should get lawyers involved for defamation or something. |

I agree that its unlikely the guy making the video and showing it the Dragonfly really had a deal with Hasbro. Or is still working with them..
I would have to think that Hasbro would not work with this guy after he is telling all their business |

While I'm not saying Hasbro WON'T do another Classified Haslab next, O-ring would be next in line, as the Skystriker came before the HISS. As long as Hasbro isn't abandoning O-ring entirely, I'd bet the Rattler is their next GI Joe Haslab. The Classified Dragonfly is probably a hoax.

This is why you don't violate NDAs. There is absolutely no profit in it.
