It's all good. Firefly is my favorite character and he truly is the Faceless master to me lol. I know that his face is shown in the comics when he is in ninja force attire but that isn't him to me lol.

I agree on NF Firefly. That was a massive step backward for a visually perfect character. Maybe this was a result of LH not wanting any figure to look cooler than Snake-Eyes.

I think Larry didn't have a choice, since Hasbro probably said "this is what we're done ng. Figure it out for the comics."

I have a sneaking suspicion that Firefly was actually intended by the Hasbro team to be the Cobra counterpart to Snake Eyes before Larry Hama started playing up Snake Eyes's connection to Storm Shadow and the Arashikage ninjas. It's never stated outright, especially with his primary and secondary military specialties being "Infantry" and "Hand-to-Hand Combat Instructor" but Snake Eyes is actually the G.I. Joe demolitions specialist (one of the primary purposes of commandos being of course to blow up or otherwise sabotage bridges, railroads, airfields and other enemy infrastructure). The proof is in the figure's unique tooling; the parts that are shared with no other figures in the OG13 assortment: a satchel full of explosive charges and a bundle of TNT with a timer sculpted onto his left leg.

I always had a feeling that Air Commando Night Vulture was intended to be a Snake Eyes release - but was scrapped in favor of making it a Cobra.

Was that even his real face?

I still can't remember if Firefly actually had some face morphing ability or if it was holographic.

I just remember he was faceless in photos because he moved his head. Dumbest shit I can recall from that mess besides his giant ninja formation that Snake-Eyes proceeded to just cut through.
