Very few cartoons from the 80's have aged with any sort of grace (GIJOE def not one of them)

There's a few really good episodes of the sunbow cartoon that hold up. The episode where Shipwreck is trapped on that cobra island living with fake Mara and his daughter is really deep. The part where he wishes his daughter was real and she just melts in his arms is some heavy stuff for a kids show. There's another one where Lifeline goes to his sisters wedding and his family are pacifists who don't approve of him joining the military. The SB show wasn't afraid to deal with serious themes. Yeah the animation is kinda bleh but the writing in some of the episodes is really good.
