Has anyone heard why, or have any theories as to why they're no longer centering the Cobra logo?
It just looks so off to me. If they could center it on the 80s figures I don't see why it should be any different now. It's my one big gripe about the Hiss Tank CC. I get that maybe it's a comic or cartoon thing where I'm more of a vintage toy purist. I think the MM and 83 CC versions at least should follow the vintage toy layouts. |

There's 3 scales of these budget figures:
12" figures of SE/SS only based of Hasbro's SE:O figures 9" Duke, SE, & SS with one sword or gun 5" Destro, Baroness, & SE with weapons molded into hands Roadblock's supposed to be released with CC which should be the 9" line |

GoodGuy9.....thank you for the pics!
I had no idea they were 9 inch, not 6 inch. TNI reported it as 6 inch but their info is usually not very good. Web search indicates this size value figure retails for about $10 and is called the "Olympus" assortment. Apparently there was also a Storm Shadow wearing a very similar outfit to the canceled "Blackout" Classified figure. It's a shame these are essentially shampoo bottles, cause they have a lot of fairly decent sculptwork in them. But the fact that they're 9 inches and not 6 is even worse. I could handle having a static pre-posed Cobra Commander as a fill in while we await the Hisstank version, but not if he towers over everyone like some kind of giant! |

Not on the early 80s figures which Hasbro has been trying to reproduce. Last edited by Trigger2K; 10-07-2022 at 03:57 PM.. |

i've been chasing an iron man mask all over town at a place that would sell those gijoe figures and no luck. 5 below. pop dollar general five below (i can only remember its name starts with pop and it's by dollar general to be like 5 below). dollar tree. but i think when it comes to getting anything at walgreens or cvs im going to take a pass.
it doesnt matter what it is it seems like it's stupid overpriced. same reason why i didnt look at dollar general or family dollar, except that walgreens/cvs is MORE. |

On the original toys, the sigil was center of his chest, and I agree, I like it that way.
But apparently the Sunbow character model must have had it offset, cause every time Hasbro tries to be "toon accurate" it's set off to the side. I think that's just the default now, appealing to people's nostalgia. Just like how Storm Shadow has been almost exclusively portrayed as a bad guy, whereas in the original toys, comics, and even the cartoon he spent more time as a Joe than a Cobra. Hasbro isn't aiming these at people like us that remember those details; they just wanna hit nostalgia buttons so people are like "Oh yeah, I remember the bad guy ninja that wore white!" More people remember the cartoon than the action figure, so the symbol sits off-center now. Anyway, just got back from Walgreens. They had the 9 inch Duke, Snake Eyes, and Storm Shadow. I think they were like $12.99. I am NOT paying $12.99 for a glorified shampoo bottle! They don't even have leg articulation! Storm Shadow is really interesting though cause it's clearly the closest we'll ever get to the intended Classified figure. He even has the Batman gauntlets! Almost ZERO paint apps though. And because it's in an open package, the exposed plastic had dirt and scuff marks on it. Nice going, Hasbro. I really like Snake Eyes. The sculpt is great. It's just the Classified figure in a heroic, powerful pose. He has almost zero paint as well, but I think it'd be a fun project to buy him and give all the little details some paint work, like the buckles and rivets. Not for $12.99 though. If I ever see these for like five bucks, I'd grab them. Storm Shadow would be fun to detail also. I did NOT see any sign of Cobra Commander though. |

I have the 9 inch wave 1, I got it online for like 30 bucks. If I ever get around to it I'm going to paint them up real nice, maybe even add some articulation.
