The main thing they should "re-evaluate" is allowing Lorenzo di Bonaventura to continue producing the G.I. Joe films.

They probably don't get a choice on that as long as di Bonaventura keeps to the terms of the original contract.

Is making a decent GI Joe movie one of the terms of that contract?

They should take that "L," thank di Bonaventura for his "efforts," concerning a live action JOE, cash ole boy out, and find somebody to else to do a live action JOE film. They should also utilize their YouTube channel and dry run not only JOE animation, (but their i.p.,) on there first to gage interest.

So is someone just going to out right buy Hasbro? It seems like the IP bidding wars are cooling off (?).

The only big impact here for Joe is likely at best a longer delay before we get another film (if at all), as long as studio-exclusive contracts remain of interest to Hasbro.

Transformers is a cash cow, so they may stay with Paramount, and Hasbro has some leverage to say "oh, you want TF? Well you have to commit to X number of movies across this array of franchises as well."

Frankly we're not seeing any big screen Joe anything until 2027-2028 at the earliest anyway, so this is an interesting development, but I don't expect any of us will notice that much.

Have we seen anything on the upcoming Amazon Lady Jaye show? Or did I imagine that....

I may be in the minority with this opinion, but I really don't think GI Joe works as a feature film franchise. The roster of interesting characters is deep and daunting, and I think better lends itself more to serialized, episodic storytelling. I'd be all-in on a well-done, PG-13 animated series that got to spotlight some under-used characters.
