How about we let someone's passion project have a little time to take shape before trashing it? It's one thing to say you aren't yet interested and probably won't back it, but maybe try not to tear it down before it's even launched huh?
This community of GI Joe-inspired toy nerds is already small enough as it is.

I think others have said it best. The creator appears to be working off the back of Recall and the design submitted there, hoping to transfer some of that love to his project. I also don't even want to imagine the logistical and potentially legal nightmare that may erupt from him using a similar design to that submitted to Recall. Lastly, and perhaps the worst offense, none of these designs get me off the couch to want to back them. If I were him I'd pick the best few and submit those to Recall year 2. No shame in acknowledging that he may not be ready to launch his own thing. Give it time and perhaps in a few years when folks have Recall figures in hand and won't feel like he's borrowing off the back of that effort, his project will feel more ready.

The Cadavers submission was one of my favorites in the Recall line though. But I'm looking forward to what the team does with it.

This community of GI Joe-inspired toy nerds is already small enough as it is. i'll try to back it, but at the same time, it looks like it could use some polish and some time to hype it. i think he'd been planning to do his own thing, but then submitted a figure to recall. picked or not for recall, it was probably going to happen. |

Very reasonable suggestion.

I got the exact same impression looking over the Facebook page.

another thing i like is that it's connected to recall.
so the last few o-ring lines - short of strike force - have been connected. this one is connected via the story of the cadaver character (hopefully if he has that input in the filecard) and the figure is related to this line anyway. so with cadaver and these you have a continuation of recall. |

Looks interesting but probably will pass.
It’s great that O-ring is back and alive but also need to be more selective on where my $$$ goes towards. I’ve only backed Roboskull and Operation Recall. |

If Carson knew about this kickstarter and chose that design to help connect them, it's fine. It seems like he'd have to since you're signing over the rights with a submission.
But if he didn't know, then it is a waste. I'd rather see him drop the character entirely and swap it out with Savage if that's the case. |
