I'm an opener, so the display part doesn't really bother me. I'm all for reducing plastic usage any way we can.
The only thing I'm worried about is people swapping these figures. I don't buy many figures at retail, in fact I think I've only bought two Classified figures from Target. Now though, I'll be a little hesitant if I see any figures I might want to buy. |

I believe stalker and dusty will be released with the plastic window, that will be 5 of my top 10. I'll buy the other 5 window or not, but I'm displaying them packaged, so i likely won't be purchasing beyond my top 10.
This is a collector line. The option to display in packages should stay for collector lines. |

And the fun begins!
https://marvelousnews.com/252-31479 The news story applies to Marvel Legends but the speculative outcome would be the same if Hasbro continues to have inaccurate packaging. A consumer can now claim "False Advertising" since the image on the outside of the box is a pin-less figure but the actual figure has pins. That is unless Hasbro puts a disclaimer on the outside of the box.

As long as they have some small disclaimer somewhere that a lot of GI Joes had even back in the '80s that states toy inside the packaging may look different than toy depicted on the box or card, it's lawsuit-proof.

Unless they just reused an old mold for his arms. Last edited by Trigger2K; 08-31-2022 at 09:00 PM.. |

I think pins are based on the limb mold reuse. I don't mind pins. It makes taking the figure apart easier.
I just got my first three Marvel Legends in the windowless box. Wow do they really let with wind out of your sail. Not a one had a picture of the toy. All digital renders. The cardboard seems lighter and the cardboard tray on the inside has little potential for reuse thanks to the tape and wax paper. Everything about them just feels cheep. :( On a plus note they came from Amazon in a box.
