This seems pretty wise to get around ethical considerations of non-consensual action figure building. Y'know, nobody wants to find out their creepy ex-boyfriend or girlfriend made an action figure of them. ;)

I haven't read anything about it, to be honest. I was never interested in this... not at 60 dollars, definitely not at 80 dollars, and probably not even at the same MSRP as the standard figures.

I think it has to do with the factory just grabbing whatever neck peg they have on hand, at the moment. Unlike other parts of the figure, which have to meet Hasbro's exact specs, the neck peg can be any size, as long as it does what Hasbro wants it to do.
