One thing hasbro has been smart about with Haslabs (outside of the Sail Barge and Unicron) is that they all can roughly fit on a standard shelf. Sure you're gonna have to play around with height clearance but it's not like the WCW Entrance, Ultimate Wrestling Ring, or Eternia where you basically need a table to display them in full.

I think the WCW stage was also something that showed the risks (similar to the Engine of Vengeance) of going TOO generic, because a fairly generic thing invites comparison to mass produced products.

There are parts and even whole kits for a 1/12 stage.

And I knew people backing the WCW stage who weren't into wrestling because they wanted it to go with the musical stage tour TMNT or other figures.

IMHO, that's the kind of risk Joe would face with too generic a military vehicle. People would look at what similar things they could use as a substitute. Other companies might decide to offer their own like Vala or Ramen. There are existing other substitutes, even at 1/12 scale.

At a low price, being generic is great. It expands your customer base.

At a premium price, I think it has drawbacks. IMHO, it's safest to do something incredibly distinctive -- without competitors, not easily made by fans, and something which triggers a nostalgia impulse.

Personally, I think G.I. Joe HQ would be one of the stronger things they could do, Joe-side, because it's prominent in the cartoon and because a scaled up Classified version wouldn't be dramatically bigger than a large vehicle.
