It’s crazy that the recent movies makes this one look so much better. This one actually was terrible (though drawn well). Changed (into crazy land) the whole back story of cobra and cobra commander. Changed falcon’s personality from a dependable and serious soldier to a sickening one that didn’t match the figure sculpt, file card, or comic appearances. I’m glad they changed the killing of Duke and took out the Zarana nudity, but you have to ask, how could anybody be so far removed from what is appropriate for kids and yet allowed to make this movie. The opening theme song, though having excellent visuals, was unpleasant to listen to, unlike the openings of the mini series and cartoon seasons. But here we are, gotten so used to seeing the reimagined garbage that the 87 movie now looks more like real joe (though I still reject cobra la as being part of the real mythos, maybe just some imaginary movie universe version of joe).

Love that movie. My granny got me the vhs back in the day and I wore that sucker out. This is awesome!

Damn skippy itch. Can't wait to see it. The intro was the best Joe ever looked, and the beginning where pythona invades the terrordrome...best part of the movie.
