Wow! Mindbender looks insane!!! Love it! And love all the accessories he comes with. Box art is really good, too. Exclusive or not, I want this figure!

I don't know why Hasbro hasn't tried doing a 4 or 5-pack of all-new (or mostly new) figures to test the waters with that concept on HasLab yet. Either with Marvel or Star Wars. They could do really low tier, C or D-list characters that aren't likely to get released in the main line, or at all. My only question wpuld be are most fans willing to pay more for the figures just because they are HasLab items? Because they would definitely be more since the production run would be far less. I suspect a 4-pack of Classified Joes on HasLab would be about $150-$160. I'd be willing to pay. But not sure how many other Joe collectors would be. Would love to see it happen, but not sure they ever will attempt it. I feel like they probably would have already done one by now at this point.

That was how SDCC was. But it was still one of the best vacations I have ever taken. But I don't want to go back. The last time Star Wars Celebration was in Orlando is what really made me call it quits on these conventions. I believe the same company runs Celebration and NYCC. I forget their name. For a company that runs two big conventions I was shocked how poorly they ran things. The first day of the convention they apparently only had ONE entrance open and made EVERYONE go through that entrance. It was basically a single door as well. Once inside they then made everyone go through airport style security screening. The line to get in lasted hours and people missed most of the first day. After a bunch of complaints, the second day they did open a few more entrances but still had this high level security screening and the line to just get in the building took a long time. I went the second day and after completing the entrance line I then stood in two more lines for hours to get two exclusives. Then that was pretty much my whole day. I missed all the panels.

I've attended most of the big conventions like SDCC, Star Wars Celebration, etc. and have no interest in going back. They over sell tickets and let too many people attend, some of the companies then that run the shows don't know how to handle it well, and it just turns into a cluster fuck LineCon and it is no fun. I would much rather order the exclusives online and watch the panels on YouTube.

Plus, imo, this guest list looks quite strong. Although I wish the Shuri cosplayer (in the photo) didn't have a big piece of snot up her nose. Not sure why they couldn't just Photoshop that out, actually. https://www.newyorkcomiccon.com/en-us/guests.html At any rate, tickets can (eventually) be bought here: https://www.newyorkcomiccon.com/en-us/tickets.html (Though the purchasing process appears oddly complicated.) * Assuming I can convince my brothers to tag along (to provide security).

This Dr. Mindbender looks like a home run! I love it! True to the original but with Classified detail. Bring on Serpentor and Nemesis Enforcer!! <---- one of my all-time favorites!
Would you guys support a Haslab that was all characters? Like Golobulus with Pythona, Nemesis Enforcer, several Cobra La Royal Guard and maybe a killer diorama?? Or maybe Serpentor with his Chariot & throne!? |

I would support a Dreadnoks Haslab, with or without the Thunder Machine as long as it was in 6" scale and came with Zarana & Zandar.

This figure is a perfect combo of homage design with updated gear to aim it as a more darker, morbid version. A brain and severed arm in glass cases? Twisted and I love it!
Fanatic job Hasbro. About time Hasbro does things their way and stops trying to cater to the man babies turning to dust.

Agreed. The more realistic looks, thinking outside the goofy, campy, Sunbow box, and taking on a darker tone is what helps this line, whether it be the 4inch line or the 6inch, gain momentum. We saw fans falling over themselves when it came to the more realistic forms of Ultimate Storm Shadow and Ultimate Cobra Commander, along with 30th Anniversary Lifeline and Scifi. The dark and morbid looks of the Zombie Vipers were a very well received 2pack. Also the more menacing looks Classified Major Bludd and the Exclusive Zartan were very nice sculpts.

I'll be honest. I was never a fan of the character, and for me to buy him he would have definitely needed a more toned down and modern aesthetic. Characters like this were what started to drive me from Joe back in the day. That said, I gotta hand it to Hasbro for going all out on this. Bold choice, and as much as he isn't my cup of tea. I'm sure people will be glad to get classic Mindbender in this scale. The accessories are cool.
