Considering we are constantly being asked to preorder Hasbro and other products with only a render, I think Hiya being more reluctant to show stuff until it is more finalized is probably for the best. Pulse, Amazon, and BBTS's pages are filled with render-only pictures even for stuff that has already been released.

I'm not very excited about Hiya Toys making 1:18 scale modern G.I. Joes, and hope that they can pleasantly surprise me with quality product.
The only Hiya Toys action figure I've ever purchased was a SDCC 2020 RoboCop 2 figure, so I don't know if that is considered a good or bad example of Hiya Toys product. I don't care much for it when compared to other figures of that scale. The hands were a brittle plastic that couldn't grip most anything. The foot peg holes were too narrow to work with other 1:18 products. I ended up putting some Hasbro G.I. Joe forearms and hands on the figure, and later drilled the feet and painted it up to be a likeness of the 1993 Star Brigade Robo-JOE character.

lol That's a wildly fucked up filecard when you think about it. He's a corrections officer, I guess, who takes any criminals he fails to "terminate" directly to jail.

From Preternia:
Anyone hoping to grab the Hiya 3.75" G.I. Joe line, it seems they may not be sold in the US at all. Gundamit looks to be importing the line if you are looking to start preordering: Snake Eyes ($37.99) - https://bit.ly/3TqfX1r Storm Shadow ($35.99) - https://bit.ly/3yNJNoZ |

I would have got them at the 20 buck price point but not for 40. 2 dollar popularity tax for snake eyes though?
