Longbow made $78,000 in 6 hours. In 7 hours, OpRecall has made $98,000 and change. I think we'll make it. Edit: just crossed $100thou. |

This one's probably going to hit $120K before the day is over, which is way rad (takin' it back to '85 yo)!!! ;)'

I'm all-in, but because of the timing, it's going to be difficult to hit the $480,000 needed for all 18 figures. Offering up a couple repaints along the way may be needed. A Tiger Force styled Retelo would look great, or even just an accessory pack of recolored weapons and stuff would be really fun. Like I mentioned for Longbow, just some unpainted bucks molded in olive drab, tan, or dark blue of Retelo or any of the characters would be a huge help for those of us that want to repair old figures with more durable parts. This is still the most exciting toy project that I've seen though and I love that the guys that were most instrumental to G.I. Joe's success get their chance to have some fun with their talents.
On another note, would you be able to produce figures based on any of their rejected ideas from the Joe line? We've seen a lot of unmade concepts in the "Creating G.I. Joe" books and I just wonder if Hasbro holds any rights to stuff that was rejected 40 years ago? I'd think since they never went through with it or copyrighted any of the designs, they should be up for grabs. |

Talk about out of touch launching a crowdfunding campaign during an official GI Joe crowd funding campaign. Awful timing that’s going to hamper this to some degree. Ought to relaunch at a later date.

Im good putting money into an independent o-ring line than a 6" line im never going to be interested in.
Hasbro can kick rocks as far as I'm concerned. They're the ones out of touch. |

I want to be clear that I'm excited for this project and really want to support it, but the pricing tiers are needlessly confusing and it's disappointing that the only "guaranteed to get every figure" all-in package is over $400, which is significantly more expensive than the comparable all-in from Callsign: Longbow. In theory, this could offer more figures than Longbow (18 vs 10), but the "We plan to make up to 18 figures" language leaves a lot of wiggle room for that to not actually happen.
It also feels like Longbow was a lot further along in the planning, design, and pre-production process at launch than this one. Other than Retelo, we only have rough draft design sketches for a few other characters so far. |

We've been working toward this moment for two years, and while we support and are excited for the Classified HISS (I'm backing x5), we can't allow what anyone else is doing to stop our momentum. This is a "lightening in a bottle" moment - an unheard of opportunity to put the original creative team back to work creating ALL-NEW modern o-ring action figures. We have to strike while the iron is hot!
