I love what I am seeing with the O-ring figures thus far. They are obviously trying to replicate the originals but with some updated paint apps (always annoyed me that my 83 CC did not have the white stripe on the helmet). As for Duke, the head only looks off because it is a digital render is my thought. Now, for the possibilities....
They already will have Scarlett's head coming from the Haslab, so I think she is likely coming up in a two pack with Baroness. The head for Ace (under the helmet) is the same as Steeler/Hawk V1/Short Fuse/Flash so any combination of them are likely to be done. No idea if two packs are as a set or singles, my guess is continuing with two pack. Also these may be done as Green shirts...hoping.... I also forsee a two pack of Destro and Major Bludd as likely. Original colors Ripcord is a no brainer since they will have the mold from the Haslab. Roadblock is probable, as is Gung ho, and a Viper. Beyond that I am unsure if they will continue (I hope so) but then a Hawk v2 is a good candidate like Snake Eyes v2 (more likely with a SS v2 in a two pack). They redid the mold for Snow Job in late 2000s for the Past and Present Rockslide set so that one may still be viable just like the Polar battle Bear. Though I remember hearing sometime back Hasbro scrapped all the original O-ring molds for the figures because they were worn out, so I believe any and all new O-ring figures will be just what they can recoup there costs on for new castings....as in lets not get our hopes TOO high for say, anything after 1986. |

As for the Duke face, that's exactly how the original Duke mold head is so I don't see any changes in his look in the final figure coming from him... I will buy it. On regards of the Cobra Trooper and Officer they just look like the originals. I would like to see them in Sunbow colors instead.

I really hope if the do a Gung-Ho and Roadblock o-ring figures that at least they change the third upper bodies since they lack the muscles to fit the characters... I remember when I got Gung-Ho and Roadblock I was like wait a min these two are missing something that I saw in the cartoon...

I tend to think they had some high-quality pics/scans of the original O-ring figures that they gave a digital paint job to in order to show us the theme they have in mind ... not that the new figures will necessarily look just like the originals.

Hey my freaking phone completed the word as third instead of their... So I'm referring to their upper bodies and the lack of muscularity to them... Their are not at the level of Steam-Roller or Road Pig.💡 In the cartoon both Roadblock and Gung Ho looked very beef up in comparison with the team.😎

That is not good. The original Gung Ho has been easily available to order this entire time and now with the upcoming new version of him I would expect no one to buy these old versions. I'm thinking it was a bad move to rerelease the original Gung Ho again now. They should have just included another AV or BAT in that case and entire cases of just the original Gung Ho should be a no go.

Well, I just noticed at another Target I came from that they put out a pile of Gung Ho, BAT, and Alley Viper today (plus at least 6 pegs full of the Retro Second Wave ie Clown Guy, Lady Jaye, etc). Guy was just stocking them. Had about 3 BATS, 2 Alley Vipers, and two to three Gung Hos. Wonder if this is some kind of case assortment.
