Didn't you find that one strange? Didn't it become even stranger when just a few weeks later they had another one and those products went up for preorder? Right after they told us they would be doing renders for a while because the pandemic had mucked up their fulfilment dates so they didn't know when preorders would happen. You didn't find any of that odd?

I guess we all have a different tolerance level for the bizarre. I found that Fan Event one of the weirdest things I've ever seen from Hasbro -- from start to finish. I still wonder why the heck they bothered to have that January one. But I can't make you agree with me.

I do think, sometimes, you might exaggerate your own feelings to make your point seem stronger. But maybe I've been watching too much Columbo.

They are "clarifying" it. They've addressed it (or a similar situation) twice. And the explanations are contradictory. It's why I find it so fascinating and frustrating. And I say this as someone who is almost completely indifferent to this wave. I almost couldn't care less when I get the inferior version of Storm Shadow, the hunchback Officer, and Spirit. I just wonder why this happened the way it did and where the rest of that shipment ended up and why.

While I don't endorse the theory, he's referring to the batch that did turn up, not the entire run of that wave of figures. Something a little closer to "maybe Steve mistakenly threw a case or two errantly onto a pallet with Thor that was bound for Dorkside".

It's worth pointing out that it's fine to criticize Emily and Lenny for the confusing verbiage, but let's also keep in mind that Hasbro PR (inasmuch as they have one, which they surely do) and Hasbro legal 100% both had to vet the precise terminology they used - so it bears repeating that it's edited, vetted, approved corporate doublespeak that's the problem, not the messengers delivering it.

How is the "entire line" missing? The BATs and AVs are shipping early (scheduled for June) and the next wave isn't scheduled until July. Dorkside just got a restock of the Infantry Trooper wave and BBTS has it on preorder for a June release. One figure, Croc Master, was delayed.

How are you claiming the entire line is MIA? Now come on, you can't be serious.

No more than a case or two of the Spirit wave found there way to Dorkside. Whatever the explanation, why does anyone even care? It was an anomaly and it happens with more than just Classified.

I'm glad someone piped up who agreed with me.

I think they had that event BECAUSE Dorkside shipped the Storm Shadow wave. Or at least in response to the BAT weirdness with some retailers getting a lot and others getting none at all (even Pulse was selling BATs left and right when places like Amazon, Dorkside, EE, and BBTS seemed to get very few).

There seemed no other reason to hold an event, show only renders, say preorders would be later, and then have an event almost immediately after where you put things up for preorder. Remember, until recently, G.I. Joe got like three Fan Events a year. Then we had three back to back to back.

Right. My point is, who knows how Dorkside got a few cases. I am genuinely perplexed as to why anyone would be so bothered by it.

The latest Star Wars wave with Mandalorain Ahsoka has a preorder date of 2023 and it's basically arriving early to major retailers. I don't think Pulse has fulfilled any orders for that wave yet. That is why I do believe we are going to see the next Classified wave arrive on or before July. Just got to have patience, the figures have been produced and shipped. They are probably sitting in shipping containers in the backlog at the ports. Maybe that is why we have seen them in Canada and the Python Patrol/Tiger Force in the UK. Maybe they don't have a backlog like the US does at the ports.
