Thanks for posting pics (and your thoughts) on Dusty. As a huge fan of him from my childhood, I've been less than enthusiastic about his Classified form. My "wait and see" approach has now transitioned to: "Not in a hurry and will get him at a discount."
If we were still in the pre-order desert I'd pull the trigger like yesterday, but being that we're currently swimming in new releases I'll bide my time. CGs will arrive shortly so I'm super stoked for those. Cheers |

I imagine you will be able to get him at a discount in a matter of months if not weeks. I am a completist at this point until they release a figure that I feel is downright terrible or couldnt be improved with add ons / adjustments. That being said, you can afford to wait on this one if you are not thrilled with what you?ve seen so far.
I've decided that most of these figures will be easy to get at discount from here on out.. even the good ones. I got Stalker at 25, then like 6 weeks later got him again at 17 |

The US has better dentistry. Just look at Austin Powers. ;) HA Ha! So right. A&W and Canadian McDonald's are so much better. Edit: Plus the only thing done well in Quebec is food. Quote:
Much to the ire of many a muscle car fan numerous cars were destroyed filming that show. But considering the oil embargo gas crunch.... I don't think that many Dodges would have survived the junk yard. It isn't like we are drowning in Mustang Mach 2s or Mavericks.

2. The war wasn't just about slavery. I learned that in elementary school. And slavery wasn't a new thing that the South started.
https://www.battlefields.org/learn/p...eceding-states Georgia: "For the last ten years we have had numerous and serious causes of complaint against our non-slave-holding confederate States with reference to the subject of African slavery..." Mississippi: "Our position is thoroughly identified with the institution of slavery-- the greatest material interest of the world. Its labor supplies the product which constitutes by far the largest and most important portions of commerce of the earth." South Carolina: "The General Government, as the common agent, passed laws to carry into effect these stipulations of the States. For many years these laws were executed. But an increasing hostility on the part of the non-slaveholding States to the institution of slavery, has led to a disregard of their obligations, and the laws of the General Government have ceased to effect the objects of the Constitution." It goes on for all the seceding states. Each state, in their own words. Read it and inform yourself. Quote:
And all the people that had slaves weren't evil.. it was common to own slaves.

Even black people owned slaves. All these black people now talking about the need to erase history.. probably don't even want to realize that its likely their own ancestors owned/sold/beat other slaves.

That's a bit selfish on your part. Is there evidence Cross Country was a racist? Or supported slavery? No, there is not, FULL STOP. Or are you implying Rudat's a racist for including those design aspects in the figure?
Why can't he be updated and stripped of the offensive items like Spirit? Quote:

I think people that want to say the Confederates were bad or evil or any of that nonsense just aren't looking at things realistically.
1. They are looking at things through the lens of today, with all of the internet and knowledge available at their fingertips. You have to realize that back then, the Confederacy were normal people going about their lives and didn't have access to any of this information. They didn't have the internet or the ability to weigh the macro politics. They probably had no news from the Northern perspectives and most likely couldn't read or write. If you asked a Southern Soldier what he was fighting for, he wasn't going to say he supports slavery. He might not even know that was something that people were against. He probably was just a normal dude living a tiny life on the land and somebody said to him "the yankees are gonna take your shit and tell you how to live"... so it makes every bit of sense for people to defend their states without considering what people in the North were thinking. 2. The war wasn't just about slavery. I learned that in elementary school. And slavery wasn't a new thing that the South started. And all the people that had slaves weren't evil.. it was common to own slaves. Maybe 50 years from now everyone will be saying that all the companies manufacturing goods from China were evil.. you have to consider context if you are going to sit in judgement of others. Even black people owned slaves. All these black people now talking about the need to erase history.. probably don't even want to realize that its likely their own ancestors owned/sold/beat other slaves. 3. These ideas change over time and the victors write history. Why were the Southern states treasonous?? because they resisted what the North told them to do? We have states resisting the federal government today, and they are not called treasonous. California has decided many times recently that they are outside of Federal control, nobody has an issue with that. 4. people need to stop being offended by everything... or thinking that the world needs to change based off of our feelings. I have zero issue with the confederate flag. And even if I did I don't think the world revolves around appeasing my feelings. EDIT: simply pointing out that this post can be thoroughly deconstructed from the absurdity of your claims to the straw man of "all these black people" (jesus christ do you see the words you type in full view of other people?) to the "not all confederates owned slaves, therefore trying to overthrow the federal government in order to keep slavery legal was noble" logic. It can be responded to. But it's far too colossally fucking stupid to do so. It's clear your epistemic world is myopic and vile.

I think that there is a sum total of strife within the Tank that is required by the plastic gods, and with peace having been made in the Zandar thread it has migrated this way.

Quick Kick's bare feet. Unrealistic you say? Yes, yes they are.
But then so is a guy in red pads wielding a laser rifle in 1982. So is all of Cobra. So is a guy that can disappear in shadows and whose skin changes color in the sunlight (and I don't mean brown, we're talkin' bright blue or green here! lol). A Scottish lord who dons a chrome mask with his chest muscles popping out of his black leather S&M suit while dealing arms for the enemy. A sailor who has his pet parrot on his shoulder in battle. We could go on for days. I am fine with Quick Kick having no shoes or boots on. It's what makes him unique and Quick Kick. While I certainly can understand some not caring for that aspect of his appearance, if it's solely (no pun intended) based on the fact that he is barefoot, then you can pick apart the entire Joe line and nearly every single character for being unrealistic. G.I. Joe was never very realistic. It has always been military fantasy mixed with sci-fi and fantasy elements. And that is what made it so awesome and unique in the first place!
