I think the cartoon crossed that line between science fantasy and military realism early and often. Synthoids, Prisoner-esque conspiracies, a mermaid, subterranean barbarian slaves, a weather dominator, Fatal Fluffies, brainwashing Dreadnok rock music, laser rifles, Cobra as a cult with a factory town and its own jazz musician, parallel universes, literal ghosts...
So from my perspective, in terms of the cartoon, not only did Serpentor and Mindbender not break anything (that wasn't already broken) but they were simply the cartoon embracing what it had always been and finding its voice. |

I agree that the Mindbender and Serpent-or costumes are over-the-top ridiculous, but that’s why they are so stupid-awesome to me. I’ve had fun explaining the stories of these Classified figures to friends and family as they are revealed and (eventually) delivered.
My wife is amazed at the gold suited snake guy and shirtless suspender’d purple pants monocle handlebar mustache man! Took her to see the G.I. Joe movie when it came out a few months ago (she humored me) and she straight up laughed at Sepentor’s Cobra La battle cry. |

That’s awesome dude. That’s really cool that he responded to you and as you said, his sculpts are fantastic. I’ve always been a Chuckles fan, so I’m really curious how he turns out.

With all the recent deliveries, we're getting close to being caught up to where we should be - schedule-wise. I'm getting excited to see some more reveals soon! |

Got all the target stuff in. I feel like it's been xmas every few weeks for the past couple of months haha
One thing that's bugging me with classified is the backpack peg system. I'm always afraid those tiny pegs are gonna snap off, and they don't fit very well at all in the first place. The pegs sit too high on the back and should be lower or something |

I just got back from my comic store. Finally picked up my pull account for the past few months. Can finally catch up to issue 300.
They had Tomax and Xamot both on the shelf. Only $30 each... which is a good deal, imo! Anyhow, I was talking to the store owner - and he says he's started taking action figures on consignment from a local guy. He was telling me how the guy has given him the story about how he searches all around the Columbus / Central Ohio area daily... and picks up anything that 'is worth it'. No wonder I never see anything in Target. So, He starts telling me about his pricing for consignment stuff: The Comic Store keeps 25% - and the scalper dude gets 75%. So, that means that the scalper is only getting $22.50 a piece for Tomax and Xamot. HOW does that make any sense for this guy to spend his time and gas money to search around at all these stores - just to scalp them for what he paid? Add in sales tax, and he's losing money. *edit thought. I hate scalpers. I really do. Lowest form of life in this hobby. * unless he's flat-out steeling them. Back-door dealing with buddies on the inside? Or walking out the self-scan aisles without paying for everything. Last edited by captain mal; 11-27-2022 at 04:59 PM.. |

Over the past two plus years. I have been trying to figure out if acquiring Target exclusives is more Counter-intelligence, Electronic Warfare or a Psyops Campaign. Just waiting for the day that customs starts pulling Joe's out of my bags when returning to the States the way they do to check Lenca Pottery and stone statues.
