I would honestly hand it over to Todd McFarlane Comics.
It would be bittersweet considering Larry fired him after issue 61. |

Well, those idiots also removed Superman and Batman from their movies so I'm not sure they have the best grasp of how NOT to ruin a franchise.

And by late 1993, GI Joe (both series) were getting heavy play on the USA Network. And that was in addition to the continued production of live action commercials. My experience is that the current GI Joe market isn?t nearly as healthy as it was 15, much less 20, years ago. The fandom is smaller, more splintered, and while Classified is doing okay?I?m not sure it has the weight to carry GI Joe beyond being a modest collector line. Right now, a LOT of the interest (and sales) seem tied to its relative rarity MORE than broad collector interest, and I?m seeing just too much of 25th?s collapse in how the line is going at the moment.

1992 was significantly featured in the back half of the second season of DiC?s run on the animated series. The talking Battle Commanders, Duke, Ninja Force, the water jets, the new HQ, among others were heavily featured. That was after the ?build up? that began in 1991 with the live action commercials, the launch of games across multiple platforms, and the broad revival of classic characters (even if only in name).

I'm pretty sure that's where it's headed.

IDW started out right with their modern era reboot...that's something I'd like to see again from the new publisher(if there is one). Hama's run on ARAH jumped the shark along time ago...his new found "wokeness" has pretty much killed his credibility on the brand. I'll finish out collecting ARAH(I'm a completist)...I just hope whoever picks up the licensing keeps him as far away from it as possible.
